The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing our cloud-based systems and applications. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, automation, and security best practices to ensure the reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of our cloud environment.\nA career with purpose.\nA career built on making dreams come true.\nA career built on building zero defect homes, cost management, and adherence to schedules.\nYour Responsibilities on the Team\nCloud Infrastructure Management:\nDesign, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure (e.g., virtual machines, networking, storage, databases) on major cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure.\nConfigure and manage cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, security, and identity and access management.\nDevelop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager for automated provisioning and management.\nCloud Application and Service Development:\nCollaborate with development teams to design, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications, microservices, and serverless functions.\nImplement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery to cloud environments.\nIntegrate cloud solutions with on-premises infrastructure where necessary.\nPerformance Optimization and Cost Management:\nMonitor cloud resource utilization, performance metrics, and costs.\nIdentify and implement strategies for cost optimization (e.g., right-sizing resources, auto-scaling, reserved instances).\nTroubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and other cloud-related issues.\nSecurity and Compliance:\nImplement and enforce robust cloud security measures, including network security, access controls, data encryption, and vulnerability management.\nEnsure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies.\nConduct regular security audits and maintain documentation of security configurations.\nAutomation and Scripting:\nAutomate routine tasks and operational processes using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.\nDevelop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and alerts.\nTroubleshooting and Support:\nDiagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.\nProvide expert-level support to internal teams and end-users on cloud-related matters.\nDevelop and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure business continuity.\nCollaboration and Documentation:\nCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, security, and architects.\nCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.\nStay updated on emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.\nRequirements\nEducation Requirements:\nCollege diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or engineering and/or +5 years equivalent work experience.\nRelevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Azure Administrator Associate.\nExperience Requirements:\n3 years of experience in cloud engineering or a related role.\nTechnical Skills:\nProficiency with one or more major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc.\nStrong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing, VPCs/VNets).\nExperience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates).\nExperience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).\nProficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.\nFamiliarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nKnowledge of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.\nUnderstanding of database technologies, including SQL and MySQL.\nFirm grasp of cloud security principles and best practices.\nSoft Skills:\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nLife at Lennar\nAt Lennar, we are committed to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for our Associates, offering a comprehensive array of benefits designed to enhance their well-being and professional growth.
