The candidate will be highly detailed orientated and have a commitment to drive efficiencies throughout the financial reporting function to enhance the monthly close-to-report cycle as well as the internal controls over financial reporting and consistently deliver high quality financial data to key stakeholders in a timely fashion.\nA career with purpose.\nA career built on making dreams come true.\nA career built on building zero defect homes, cost management, and adherence to schedules.\nYour Responsibilities on the Team\nSupervise the centralized accounting for the homebuilding revenue and cash transaction cycles by:\nOversee the daily, automated revenue HUD and cash process by reviewing and posting the daily closing journal entries for home sales for 40 divisions on +$30B in revenue.\n\nAnalyze and troubleshoot variances in the cash and revenue process working cross-functionally with Division accounting, Lennar Title, and Treasury to resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner.\n\nFormulate an understanding of the Lennar homebuilding business and accounting processes; evaluate ways to improve efficiency and drive automation.\n\nReview and analyze the reconciliations of all corporate cash accounts utilizing Blackline\n\nSupervise the general accountant in coding and posting cash to the homebuilding divisions; act as a liaison with the Division to identify proper coding to the general ledger.\n\nWork directly with Accounting Manager / Director on a regular basis to address accounting issues within critical accounts.\n\nPerform other month-end reporting and projects, as assigned.\n\nRequirements\nBachelor’s Degree in Accounting\n\nMaster’s Degree preferred\n\nCPA or CPA candidate\n\n1 - 3 years in public accounting and/or with a public company preferred\n\nStrong knowledge of US GAAP\n\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\n\nExcellent organizational, management, analytical, decision-making and research skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task accordingly in a fast-paced environment\n\nProficiency with MS Excel and Word. Experience with JD Edwards, Essbase, Blackline\n\nPhysical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:\nThis is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs.
