This role involves mentoring, training, and supervising Assistant Construction Managers and Construction Managers, ensuring they follow company policies and procedures, and overseeing progress throughout the construction process.\nA career with purpose.\nA career built on making dreams come true.\nA career built on building zero defect homes, cost management, and adherence to schedules.\nYour Responsibilities on the Team\nManage the job site and supervise daily trade partner activities in accordance with job schedules and business partner scopes of work, walking assigned homes twice a day.\nPlan all construction activities on homes from start to finish, including but not limited to pre-construction meetings, pre-drywall meetings, and final presentation meetings.\nEnsure compliance with City or County requirements, building codes, and safety regulations.\nMaintain job site cleanliness and safety in accordance with State & Federal guidelines, keeping accurate safety logs and conducting regular safety meetings.\nPerform SWPPP inspections as required by County, State & Federal guidelines, maintaining accurate records and documentation.\nUtilize Build Pro for trade partner notification and invoice approval.\nNegotiate solutions raised by inspectors and trade partners.\nProvide trade partner feedback to the Lead Construction Manager concerning timeliness, attention to detail, and overall performance.\nApprove trade partner invoices upon satisfactory job completion.\nOversee Assistant Construction Managers and Construction Managers, ensuring effective training and mentorship.\nConduct field meetings with trade partners, construction staff, and sales staff.\nManage departmental performance against agreed targets and budgets while adhering to company policies and standards.\nPartner with municipality inspectors for timely approvals of development phases.\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or GED required. College Degree in related field preferred.\nMinimum of 5+ years of experience in project/construction management in residential construction required.\nSupervisory role experience preferred.\nAdvanced knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and document management.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints.\nProficiency in MS Office products (Word and Excel).\nExcellent follow-up, communication (both written and verbal), and time management skills.\nValid driver's license with a good driving record.\nValid auto insurance coverage.\nCapable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nPhysical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:\nRegular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Requires the ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Job may require occasional operation of construction equipment.
