The infrastructure consists of a mix of network switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, load balancers and cloud network/application services. The Sr. Network Engineer operates and maintains some or all these components while ensuring an uptime of 99.9%. This position will play a lead role supporting projects, enhancing automation, performing technology evaluations, deploying Network technologies, and will be tasked with the day-to-day operation of Lennar network infrastructure.\nIn addition, this role will participate on process improvement, operational excellence, AI transformation, design, and standardization.\nYour Responsibilities on the Team\nFunctions in a customer-facing role and therefore is expected to be approachable and service minded.\nProvides Tier 3 engineering support during critical operational incidents as necessary.\nMaintains current network infrastructure and leverages the manufacturer for advanced support.\nMaintains high network availability for redundancy and resilience.\nUnderstands and accounts for peak load; manages peak load events.\nFollows industry best practices, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational efficiency.\nOptimizes, implements and monitors network performance.\nMaintains and reacts to Enterprise-grade network monitoring system.\nWorks with automation tools and platforms such as GitHub, HashiCorp, and coding languages like Python, Terraform, Ansible to build automation workflows and increase efficiency.\nSupports the deployment of network equipment for new office build outs.\nOversees the order and deployment of WAN circuits, including MPLS, DIA, Broadbands, VPN's and point-to-point circuits.\nSupports the LAN wired and wireless infrastructure.\nDeploys, operates and maintains F5 load balancing LTM and APM modules.\nWorks closely with Enterprise Security Office to implement reliable, manageable, and secure solutions that meet Network/Security Industry standards.\nAssists in the deployment of Palo Alto SD-WAN and SASE (Prisma SD-WAN).\nPerforms security audits of the network system and improves the security posture.\nAssists with disaster recovery setups, both on a global and site-by-site basis.\nPerforms network technologies evaluation.\nWrites technical documentation, including architecture decision records, network diagrams, policies and procedures.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering or related field; or equivalent work experience.\nCertifications such as ITIL, Cisco CCNP, or similar are preferred but not required.\n5+ years relevant work experience\nPhysical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:\nThis is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary. 10-20% of travel is required.\nAdditional Requirements:\nMust be self-motivated with strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.\nThe ability to work effectively with clients, management, and staff members in a multi-tiered, fast-paced environment.\nExperience working in previous large Enterprise Network Engineering role desired.\nAbility to translate technical recommendations into a visual format for presentation to non-technical stakeholders.\nExperience with automation tools and CI/CD principles.\nProficient with Palo Alto SD-WAN and SASE (Prisma SD-WAN).\nExpert with Cisco Meraki Networks, Catalyst and Nexus network switches, F5 load balancers LTM abd APM products, Cisco ISR and ASR routers.\nKnowledge of IP fundamentals, DNS, DHCP, and IPv4/IPv6.\nKnowledge and expertise in Wireless LAN technologies.\nMust demonstrate in-depth understanding of the OSI model.\nDemonstrable knowledge in the design, implementation, troubleshooting and operations of data center technologies.\nFirm understanding of operating systems, virtualization, network services for cloud enablement, and security.\nConsistently able to solve connectivity problems to increase bandwidth, improve response times, maximize performance, and support global operations.\nExtensive skills in WAN related architectures and technologies important to enterprises, such as MPLS, hybrid environments connectivity, IPsec and emerging technologies.\nThis description outlines the basic responsibilities and requirements for the position noted.
