Operations will be AI state-of-the-art with autonomous AI capabilities and decision making. Reporting to the Director of Procurement Operations, this role translates strategic direction into scalable operational workflows with a team of Procurement Operations Managers and Specialists, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the procure-to-pay lifecycle.\nThis role is a key operational partner to Finance, Accounting, Legal, IT, and division leadership, ensuring procurement processes are compliant, efficient, and aligned with enterprise standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nProcurement Operations\nLead daily procurement operations execution, including vendor onboarding, PR/PO workflows, and change order management, ensuring adherence to governance standards and SLAs.\nWork with a team of Procurement Operations Managers and Specialists; provide coaching, performance feedback, and development support to build a high-performing team.\nImplement and monitor internal controls, policy compliance frameworks, and audit-readiness processes in alignment with Director-set standards.\nServe as a primary escalation point for complex or high-priority procurement issues across divisional stakeholders.\nPurchase Requests & Purchase Orders\nOversee end-to-end PR-to-PO lifecycle operations: intake, approval routing, validation, PO issuance, and closure; identify bottlenecks and drive cycle-time improvements.\nEnsure PO accuracy, contract alignment, legal entity and currency correctness, and accounting treatment compliance.\nStandardize and document procurement workflows and approval structures; drive consistency across divisions.\nReview and validate purchase requisitions for completeness, policy alignment, and appropriate spend authorization before PO issuance.\nChange Orders & Vendor Governance\nAdminister change order processes, including documentation, pricing validation, budget impact review, and approval routing per established protocols.\nMonitor change order volume, costs, and trends; surface escalation needs and improvement opportunities to the Director.\nSupport vendor lifecycle management activities, including onboarding, renewals, performance tracking, and offboarding.\nIdentify and help remediate unauthorized spend and policy exceptions.\nAI & Automation\nSupport evaluation and deployment of AI-enabled tools and workflow automation solutions, partnering with IT and the Director to operationalize new capabilities.\nDrive user adoption and change management for new procurement tools and platforms through training, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.\nIdentify manual process gaps and recommend automation opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.\nMetrics & Continuous Improvement\nTrack and report on procurement KPIs including PR-to-PO cycle time, throughput, PO accuracy, CO rate, and policy compliance; deliver regular operational reporting to the Director.\nConduct root-cause analyses on performance gaps and lead corrective action plans.\nPartner with the Director on benchmarking, process design, and strategic initiatives to improve scalability and stakeholder experience.\nRequired Qualifications\n6+ years of progressive procurement, procure-to-pay, finance operations, or supply chain experience; 2+ years in a management or team lead role.\nDemonstrated experience managing PR, PO, and CO workflows in enterprise or high-growth environments.\nTrack record of process improvement, operational standardization, and cross-functional collaboration.\nExperience supporting governance, internal controls, compliance, and audit-readiness frameworks.\nBachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain, or related field.\nPreferred\nProficiency with Zip (procure-to-pay), JD Edwards, ServiceNow, Metaviewer, or equivalent platforms.\nExperience with procurement transformation or automation initiatives.\nFamiliarity with SOX-controlled or public-company environments.\nFamiliarity with AI-enabled procurement technologies and P2P automation strategies.\nCPSM or CPM certification a plus.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong leadership and people management skills with a coaching mindset.\nAbility to translate strategic direction into operational execution.\nCross-functional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\nHigh degree of creativity and self-drive\nAnalytical and systems-thinking capabilities with a focus on process optimization.\nStrong in openness, able to tolerate discussion, differing ideas and regerous debate\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and compliance.\nAbility to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.\nPhysical & Office/Site Presence Requirement s:\nThis is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs.
