As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk, you’ll play an important role in keeping our Parts Distribution Center running smoothly by ensuring incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and on time. You’ll work closely with carriers and internal teams, verify shipments and documentation, manage warehouse system transactions, and help resolve day-to-day challenges. This is a great opportunity to make an impact, develop your skills, and be part of a team that values collaboration, efficiency, and getting the job done right.\nKey Responsibilities\nProcess inbound receipts and outbound shipments in accordance with established procedures and schedules.\nVerify item numbers, quantities, condition, labels, and shipping or receiving documentation.\nPrepare bills of lading, packing lists, labels, manifests, and other required shipment records.\nCoordinate dock appointments and carrier activity and communicate shipment status or delays.\nComplete timely and accurate transactions in the warehouse management or enterprise resource planning system.\nResearch and resolve routine shipment, documentation, and inventory discrepancies; escalate unresolved issues.\nMaintain organized records and support audits, claims, returns, and compliance requirements.\nFollow safety, security, quality, and housekeeping standards in office, dock, and warehouse areas.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nExperience and Qualifications\nAbility to work 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday.\nPrevious experience in a distribution center, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, retail stockroom, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or related environment preferred; entry-level candidates with transferable experience may be considered.\nExperience with shipping documents, inventory transactions, cycle counts, discrepancy research, or warehouse systems is preferred.\nEquipment certification or prior experience operating powered industrial equipment is preferred when applicable; required training and authorization must be completed before operation.\nAbility to read and follow work instructions, safety rules, product labels, and shipping or receiving documents.\nBasic math, counting, measurement, and data-entry skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.\nAbility to learn and use barcode scanners, warehouse management systems, enterprise resource planning systems, computers, and other job-related technology.\nEffective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to follow standard work, meet safety and productivity expectations, and adapt to changing assignments and priorities.\nReliable attendance and ability to work the assigned shift, including overtime, weekends, or schedule changes when business needs require.\nHigh school diploma is optional, but preferred.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to work on site in a distribution center environment and remain active for most of the shift, including frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, crouching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand movements.\nAbility to regularly lift, carry, and handle parts, cartons, or materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with team or mechanical assistance used for heavier or awkward items in accordance with safety procedures.\nAbility to work at varying heights and around racks, conveyors, docks, trailers, pallets, and powered industrial equipment.\nAbility to safely operate or work near material-handling equipment after completing required training and authorization.\nAbility to use scanners, computers, warehouse systems, printers, and standard office equipment and to read labels, displays, and documentation accurately.\nAbility to work in areas that may include temperature variation, noise, dust, and vehicle or equipment traffic.\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety and ergonomic practices.\nAbility to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.\nWE VALUE DIVERSITY\nHere at Lennox we believe that diversity and inclusion is critical to our success as a global company, and we seek to recruit, develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
