This is an exciting role in the ThinkSystem Server Development organization that has a strong focus to be the #1 trusted IT Partner in the Datacenter market. The hardware development engineer will be an integral member of a team responsible for developing innovative and complex server designs to meet customer and business needs. These organic designs provide exposure to the latest technologies from Lenovo and its development partners to meet market demands.The role also entails solving unique client challenges through the custom development of solutions.\nRequired skills:\n·Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.\n·5+ years of in-depth experience in x86 architecture and hardware design. Server design experience is strongly preferred.\n·5+ year of experience in EDA schematic design tools for PCB schematic creation, supporting physical design activity and then define/perform low level hardware validation.\n·Experience in FPGA code development and validation, DC Power circuit design, and/or PCIe bus design, simulation, and validation.\n·Ability to triage and resolve complex hardware issues, working seamlessly with other engineers on problem investigation.\n·Strong written and verbal communication skills for a variety of tasks, potentially including customer engagements, architecture design/feedback, and executive updates.\n·Demonstrated ability to work effectively in both a team environment and self-directed; passionate about learning new technologies and skills.\nPreferred skills:\n·Master’s Degree\n·Proficiency in Linux/Windows Operating systems.
