You will spend a multi-week rotation in each engineering discipline throughout the summer.\nSummer Interns work as part of a multi-discipline team performing engineering design during all phases of multiple simultaneous projects. You will perform assignments under the direct supervision of one or more licensed engineers and concentrate on specific design or technical documentation tasks that contribute to overall projects. Assignments will include performing design calculations, preparing reports, and producing deliverable drawing sets including plans, details, and schedules.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nAssists to design and specify project-appropriate engineering requirements.\nCoordinates designs with the work of the design team.\nPerforms Revit modeling and detailing\nAssists to conduct site investigations and observations.\nAssists to prepare narratives, reports, hand and computer calculations, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraints.\nAssists to perform cross-discipline discussions and coordination.\nAdditional assignments may include attending client and internal meetings, assisting with performing construction contract administration, and assisting with marketing/business development activities. \nRequirements\nMust be working towards graduation of ABET-accredited degree in Architectural Engineering. \nThis summer internship experience is intended for students seeking exposure to mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering in order to assist in identifying future specialization for their education and career.\nKnowledge and proficiency with computer software including REVIT is preferred.\nStrong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills and knowledge of other building systems.\nPositive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multi-discipline team.\nActive involvement and demonstrated leadership skills in extracurricular activities on campus and in the community is preferred.\nWhy Join LEO A DALY?\nAt LEO A DALY, you will become part of a collaborative design culture and do work that matters.
