You will perform assignments under the direct supervision of one or more licensed mechanical engineers and concentrate on specific design or technical documentation tasks that contribute to overall projects. Assignments will include performing design calculations, preparing reports, and producing deliverable drawing sets including site plans, HVAC plans, piping plans, controls diagrams, details, schematics, and schedules.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nAssists to design and specify project-appropriate mechanical engineering requirements.\nCoordinates designs with the work of Mechanical Designers.\nPerforms Revit modeling and detailing\nAssists to conduct site investigations and observations.\nAssists to prepare narratives, reports, hand and computer calculations, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraints.\nAssists to perform cross-discipline discussions and coordination.\nAdditional assignments may include attending client and internal meetings, assisting with performing construction contract administration, and assisting with marketing/business development activities. \nRequirements\nMust be working towards graduation of ABET-accredited degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical emphasis.\nKnowledge and proficiency with computer software including REVIT MEP is a preferred.\nKnowledge and proficiency using load, system sizing, and energy modeling software is a plus.\nStrong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills and knowledge of other building systems.\nPositive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multi-discipline team.\nActive involvement and demonstrated leadership skills in extracurricular activities on campus and in the community is preferred.\n Pay range for this position varies between $20/hr-$25/hr, depending upon applicable experience. \nWhy Join LEO A DALY?\nAt LEO A DALY, you will become part of a collaborative design culture and do work that matters.
