Working closely with business stakeholders, you will deliver high-quality technical solutions that support operational effectiveness and continuous improvement across the organisation.\nThe successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, maintain and support business applications and software solutions.\nWork with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.\nDesign, develop, test and implement new functionality and system enhancements.\nPerform application troubleshooting, root cause analysis and issue resolution.\nIntegrate business applications with Microsoft Office products and associated file formats.\nDevelop and maintain database access functionality and data-driven solutions.\nProduce and maintain technical documentation.\nSupport software releases, upgrades and deployments.\nIdentify opportunities for process improvement and system optimisation.\nProvide technical support and guidance to users and project teams.\nWhat you'll bring\nProven experience delivering software solutions across the full application development life cycle.\nStrong business analysis and requirements gathering skills.\nExpert knowledge of VB.NET and the Microsoft Visual Studio development environment.\nStrong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.\nExpert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience integrating Microsoft Office applications and files using VB.NET.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft DAO API and SQL.\nExperience developing and supporting business-critical applications.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nSecurity Clearance\nThis role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
