This position involves contacts across multiple divisions in the UK and Italy, including the Head Office Corporate Tax team and external advisors.\nThis is a hybrid role combining both onsite and remote working each week and can be based from either our Edinburgh or Yeovil site.\nAs Corporate Tax Manager You'll:\nResearch & Development Expenditure Credit (RDEC) and Patent Box: Manage preparation of annual claims, including liaising with partners in the business and with external advisors. \nTransfer Pricing (TP): Manage the preparation of the annual TP report and documentation. Maintain group TP arrangements\nCorporate Tax Returns: Manage the preparation of all corporate tax returns including overseas branches, and Permanent Establishments including liaising with our external tax advisors and providing detailed analyses as required.\nCorporate Income Tax payments: Ensure payments are made on a timely basis for all jurisdictions.\nTax Provisions: Support the preparation of quarterly and annual corporate tax provisions and input into Hyperion Financial Management system.\nStatutory Accounts: Draft tax disclosures and notes for the group's financial statements.\nAudits: Prepare information to respond to Law 262 internal audit and external audits and to support the Senior Accounting Officer requirements.\nBudgeting and Forecasting: Provide corporate tax input to budgeting and forecasting process and be a contact with relevant stakeholders.\nOther Reporting Requirements: Manage the preparation of information to comply with Pillar Two, Controlled Foreign Companies and Country by Country Reporting requirements.\nTax Authority Liaison: Prepare and submit requests to tax authorities (e.g., HMRC) and assist with responding to queries from them.\nSpecialist Tax Advice: Liaison and support to other departments on technical tax matters including advice at bid stage and partnering with the business on projects and other initiatives as required.\nTax Process Automation: Improve data collection methods using tax compliance and other software and update the documentation of the Tax Team’s processes.\nWhat you’ll bring\nProfessional Qualifications: Fully qualified CTA, CA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent.\nExperience: Demonstrable experience of operating within corporate tax in-house team or within an accounting firm.\nTechnical skills / knowledge: good knowledge of UK tax rules and, ideally, some experience in international taxation.\nWorking style: Team player with flexible working style and the ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines when required.\nSkills/approach to work: Analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail.\nSoftware Competency: Advanced Excel skills required. Experience with SAP/ERP or equivalent would be advantageous.\nCommunication: Ability to communicate and influence effectively to partners in the business and various stakeholder groups.\nSecurity Clearance\nThis role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
