The role will be focused on the delivery of Health, Safety & Environment support within the Integrated Sensing and Protection (ISP) line of business across three sites in Basildon, Essex and Southampton.\nYou will work within the requirements of Leonardo UK Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems, undertaking Gap analysis whilst ensuring that all non-conformances and opportunities for improvement are brought to the attention of the Leonardo site HSE Managers (Basildon and Southampton).\nAs the HSE Coordinator you will:\nRisk Assessment Support including assist with the scheduling and documentation of routine risk assessments across departments. Provide administrative support in identifying potential hazards and recommending appropriate controls. Manage risk assessment tool/system with new, reviewed or archived risk assessments, to include chase emails in support for HSE Manager and HSE advisor.\nAdministrative support including managing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the site, order, issue and maintain record. Maintain effective communication with all departments to promote safety awareness and compliance. Conference room bookings/catering/hosting requirements. Manage shared HSE inbox where required and provide support where necessary. Support local Sub-Committee Meetings - room bookings, minutes\nLiaise with relevant support services to ensure the preparation and delivery of site HSE communication programme, including the upkeep of information on site notice boards and intranet pages.\nLiaise with local Managers to ensure the timely preparation and review of task, COSHH, noise, manual handling and fire risk assessments.\nWork with local Management teams to ensure accidents, incidents and near misses are investigated in a timely manner to determine the root cause and introduce appropriate controls.\nEnsure Risk Assessments and Method Statements are in place and followed as part of Control of Contractors process\nWork with the site HSE Manager in the preparation and delivery of site HSE internal auditing programme.\nTo provide a prompt and polite service in response to all departmental requests.\nEnsure that Leonardo UK security and emergency procedures are adhered to at all times, taking an active role in an evacuation of the building as laid down in the site Incident Control Procedures.\nProvide administrative support and document reviews as well as any other Health, Safety and Environment related tasks requested by the HSE Manager.\nTake an active role in Energy and Waste monitoring, reduction & record keeping\nCompile and distribute regular HSE reports\nEngage in HSE meetings, including the preparation of information & minute taking\nRegularly liaise with all outsourced service providers including ISS, Xerox, DXC\nWhat you'll bring:\nAppropriate professional Health and Safety qualifications (minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualifications)\nAppropriate professional Environmental qualifications (minimum IEMA, NEBOSH Environmental\nManagement Certificate or equivalent qualifications)\nInternal Auditor in one or all of the following standards ISO 14001/ ISO 45001 ISO 50001\nRelevant experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment\nRelevant experience in HSE promotional activity\nDetailed knowledge of UK statutory regulation concerning safety, health and environment\nHave an understanding of safety culture development.\nBe able to plan and co-ordinate HSE projects\nThis is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above.
