Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.\nYour Impact\nWe are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our Southampton site. In this role you will be required to perform highly precise manual assembly and finishing operations on small, delicate, or high-tolerance components where exceptional hand dexterity, steady control, and attention to microscopic detail are critical to product quality and safety.\nWhat you will do as a Manufacturing Technician\nAssemble micro-scale or high-precision components using hand tools, tweezers, microscopes, or magnification systems\n\nPerform fine alignment, fitting, and adjustment of components within extremely tight tolerances\n\nHandle fragile materials (e.g. micro-electronics, thin wires, miniature fasteners, precision springs) without damage\n\nConduct detailed visual inspections to identify defects not detectable by automated systems\n\nExecute repetitive, detail-intensive tasks while maintaining consistent quality over extended periods\n\nFollow exacting work instructions, schematics, and standard operating procedures\n\nMaintain cleanroom or controlled-environment discipline where required\n\nAccurately document assembly steps, quality checks, and deviations\n\nCollaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve precision-related issues\n\nWhat you’ll bring\nExceptional fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination\n\nAbility to manipulate extremely small parts with consistent accuracy\n\nSteady hands with minimal tremor under magnification\n\nHigh tactile sensitivity and spatial awareness\n\nStrong visual acuity (with or without corrective lenses)\n\nAbility to maintain focus on intricate tasks for long durations\n\nSuperior attention to detail and error detection\n\nPatience and discipline in repetitive precision work\n\nPrevious work in precision manufacturing, micro-assembly, electronics, medical devices, jewellery, watchmaking, or similar fields\n\nManufacturing / Production working environment (Cleanroom & Temperature and Humidity Controlled)\n\nFamiliarity with precision hand tools and micro-assembly equipment\n\nThis is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above.
