At Leonardo Helicopters, we have an opportunity for a Supply Logistics Inventory Control Team (SLICT) Manager to lead the delivery of the Material Service element for our Military Export (MILEX) contracts.\nYour Impact\nThis pivotal role ensures effective material support to our global customer base, delivering against contractual commitments while driving cost efficiencies and supporting business performance.\nOperating at the heart of contract delivery, this role has wide-reaching influence across customer processes, strategy, resource planning, training, budget management, and asset accountability. You will play a key role in enhancing platform support and delivering operational excellence.\nFor the awareness of internal applicants: this is a JFF level 6 position.\nWhat you will do as a SLICT Manager:\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, senior management, and key stakeholders, ensuring material delivery issues are clearly communicated and effectively managed.\nLead, manage, and develop a team of Availability Officers and Controllers, ensuring the successful delivery of material solutions to meet customer requirements worldwide.\nOversee Availability and Sustainment activities, ensuring material and operational supply needs are consistently achieved.\nCollaborate across Procurement, Logistics, Programmes, Engineering, and MRP to ensure effective prioritisation and material flow.\nMonitor programme performance data to proactively identify risks and protect customer satisfaction.\nRepresent Material Services at customer reviews and deputise for the Delivery Manager when required.\nManage and prioritise asset allocation, ensuring impact assessments and senior stakeholder briefings are completed where necessary.\nEscalate material-related issues appropriately to the Head of Material Services.\nSupport internal reporting including forecasting, variance analysis, and root cause identification.\nWhat you will bring\nProven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, delivering excellent internal and external customer service\nStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships\nDemonstrated capability to influence at senior levels within customer and industry environments\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience engaging across all organisational levels\nStrong problem-solving and solution development skills, applied within operational environments\nIn-depth understanding of customer planning, operations, and material supply/inventory management processes\nProven track record in logistics management within an aerospace environment\nStrong knowledge of logistics and material supply techniques\nExperience leading teams in complex, high-demand commercial environments\nExperience managing complex contractual arrangements, including service delivery, inventory, and financial performance\nAwareness and understanding of customer operations and aircraft usage\nThis is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above.
