If you have skills in systems engineering and five years UK residency, we are looking for engineers to join us at Leonardo in Bristol in a predominantly office and laboratory-based role.\nWhat you’ll do as a Systems Engineer\nCollaborate with multi-functional teams on system and sub-system development\nWork with suppliers, integrators, and users across the UK\nDevelop and refine system-level requirements and designs\nControl Parts and Documentation, including change management\nOur Systems Engineers work in multidisciplinary teams spanning a range of activities pulling together the necessary engineering and technology strands into a high-performance system, bridging the gap between the theoretically possible and the practically implementable.\nExamples of Work\nEngaging with stakeholders, defining requirements for a new system\nConducting cost and functional performance trade-offs and evaluation of proposed solutions\nDevelopment of capability within limitations and constraints of the target hardware\nRoot-cause analysis of anomalies observed during integration or evaluation activities\nDesigning and conducting testing to prove equipment function and performance\nOpportunities to lead technical activities and initiatives\nMentoring and coaching other engineers\nCreating and delivering reports, presentations and proposals to customers and industry partners\nSupporting knowledge sharing and exploitation of good practice\nWhat you’ll bring\nA science-based Honours degree or equivalent experience\nExperience or a desire to gain electronic warfare domain knowledge\nKnowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle, particularly in the following areas:\nProblem definition\nRequirements engineering, including the use of IBM DOORS\nSystems Architecture\nIntegration, Test and Evaluation\nVerification and Validation\nIt would be desirable if you had experience from some of the following:\nExperience of working with related specialisms such as safety, security, airworthiness or reliability\nDomain-specialist knowledge such as:\nDigital signal processing\nRF systems\nMulti-sensor data fusion and tracking\nReal time data simulation/generation\nMilitary Electronic systems\nData analysis using AI or Machine Learning\nOperational Experience in Electronic Intelligence or Electronic Warfare\nThis is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market.
