Support to routine external audit requirements.\nYou will drive financial leadership and control into the programme, fully supporting the IPT with appropriate contract analysis, reporting and direction to enhance contract performance and timely decision making.\nOwnership of all forecasting and budgeting requirements associated with those contracts, partnering with the business continuously. This will include challenging:\nContract costs to complete along with associated schedules.\nCash forecasting and support to treasury management for the programme, income and\nexpenditures.\nAll Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet items pertinent to the contract.\nContract performance monitoring and reporting.\nExpert financial advice and leadership in an IPT environment.\nExtensive preparation for audit and liaison with auditors as required.\nProvide timely and accurate month-end financial reporting as appropriate, ensuring correct use of SAP in terms of contract structure and maintenance thereof, compliance with IFRS applications and to enable performance reporting, working with business.\nManage ad-hoc requests from the Financial Controller as required, problem solving to deliver solutions/proposals in a well-considered, accurate and timely manner.\nThis role may require travel in the UK or Overseas on occasion.\n What you’ll bring\nA professionally qualified accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge.\nThe confidence to explain, challenge and ensure the correct accounting treatment is applied.\nStrong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with excellent attention to detail.\nClear and effective communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate confidently at all levels across the business.\nThe ability to work independently, use your own initiative and collaborate effectively across functional teams.\nStrong influencing skills, with the drive and resilience to champion and deliver change.\nGood IT skills, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.\nExperience with SAP and Business Intelligence (BI) tools would be a significant advantage.\nA flexible and adaptable approach to work, with a willingness to travel occasionally when required.\nSecurity Clearance\nThis role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
