Description:\nYour Impact\nAs a Project Engineering Manager (PEM) within the Precision Guidance Integrated Project Team (IPT), you will be responsible for the delivery of engineering work packages across complex programmes, ensuring alignment with programme objectives for cost, schedule, and technical performance.\nYou will operate at the heart of the IPT, coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering teams acting as the key interface between engineering, programme management, and the customer, ensuring solutions are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.\nKey Responsibilities\nEngineering Delivery & Performance\nLead the planning, coordination, and delivery of engineering activities across assigned projects or work packages\nEnsure engineering outputs meet cost, schedule, and technical performance targets\nManage day-to-day engineering delivery risks, issues, and dependencies\nProvide clear and timely reporting of engineering status to Programme and Engineering leadership\nTechnical & Programme Integration\nAct as the focal point for engineering delivery within the IPT, ensuring alignment with Programme plans and Customer requirements\nSupport design reviews, integration activities, and verification & validation planning\nEnsure engineering solutions are robust, supportable, and fit for purpose\nResource & Workload Management\nDefine and manage engineering resource requirements across disciplines\nWork with functional managers to secure appropriate capability and capacity\nMonitor utilisation and adjust plans to respond to programme priorities\nLine-manage a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, playing an active role in their career development.\nStakeholder Collaboration\nCollaborate with:Project Engineering Leads\nProgramme Managers\nFunctional Engineering Leads\nHead of Engineering Projects\n\nBuild strong working relationships to enable effective delivery\nProvide a clear engineering interface to the customer where required\nContinuous Improvement\nDrive improvements in:Engineering planning and estimation\nDelivery efficiency\nWays of working within the IPT\n\nPromote adoption of modern engineering practices (e.g. Digital Engineering, MBSE where applicable)\nAccountabilities\nDelivery of engineering scope to agreed cost, schedule, and performance baselines\nAccuracy and quality of engineering plans and reporting\nEffective management of engineering risks and issues\nEffective team leadership\nSuccessful execution of engineering lifecycle milestones\nSkills, Experience & Knowledge\nEssential\nProven experience in an engineering delivery or project engineering role within complex systems programmes\nStrong understanding of engineering lifecycle processes (requirements, design, integration, V&V)\nExperience working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams\nDemonstrable ability to manage delivery to cost, schedule, and quality targets\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills\nDesirable\nExperience within defence and aerospace\nKnowledge of Precision Guidance systems, sensors, or control systems\nUnderstanding of safety-critical or regulated environments\nKey Behaviours\nDelivery-focused with strong ownership mindset\nStructured and proactive in problem-solving\nCollaborative and team-oriented\nCredible and
