You’ll work across delivery, engineering, and product teams to ensure agile practices are embedded, outcomes are measurable, and teams are empowered to succeed.\nYour work at Leonardo UK will see you take the lead in solving customer problems in an agile, innovative and team-centric manner.\nThe role involves working at our Customer's site in Gloucestershire for up to 4 days per week, to ensure close collaboration with the wider team and with our customers.This role is focused on delivering, maintaining, and improving platform and systems engineering solutions that underpin critical defence, government and public sector services.\nYou will need to hold UK DV clearance while in this post.\nWhat you will do as aSenior Scrum Master:\nLead agile delivery across multiple Scrum teams or programmes, ensuring alignment with business and customer outcomes.\nCoach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and delivery teams to improve agile capability and team performance.\nFacilitate agile ceremonies and planning events across teams, supporting scaled delivery frameworks where appropriate.\nDrive continuous improvement through metrics, retrospectives, and agile health checks.\nCollaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to align delivery with strategic priorities.\nRepresent agile delivery in governance forums, contributing to reporting, compliance, and planning.\nSupport agile transformation initiatives and contribute to agile communities of practice.\nChampion psychological safety, team empowerment, and inclusive collaboration.\nWhat you’ll bring\nExtensive experience as a Scrum Master or agile delivery lead in complex, multi-team environments.\nDeep understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, LeSS, Kanban) and scaled delivery models.\nProven ability to coach teams and leaders in agile principles, delivery practices, and team dynamics.\nExperience working in secure, regulated, or mission-critical environments (e.g. defence, government).\nCore areas (must have):\nAgile Delivery Leadership: Leading agile delivery across multiple Scrum teams or programmes.\nCoaching & Mentoring: Supporting the development of Scrum Masters and agile practitioners.\nScaled Frameworks: Experience with SAFe, LeSS, or hybrid agile models.\nGovernance & Reporting: Representing agile delivery in governance and compliance forums.\nMetrics & Improvement: Using data to assess team health and drive improvement.\nStakeholder Engagement: Influencing senior stakeholders and aligning delivery with strategic goals.\n Tool Proficiency: Advanced use of agile collaboration and reporting tools.\nDesirable:\nCertifications such as SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), ICAgile Certified Expert, or PSM II/III.\nExperience contributing to agile strategy, transformation programmes, or centre of excellence.\nFamiliarity with DDaT delivery principles and government service standards.\nExposure to DevOps, platform engineering, or agile service delivery environments.\nExperience in change management, organisational design, or leadership development.\nAbility to represent agile delivery in strategic planning, portfolio governance, and executive forums.\nSecurity Clearance\nThis role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
