The role may involve a blended hybrid working model, with a mixture of working from home and working on site at our Bristol office to ensure close collaboration with the wider team and with our customers.\nWhat you will do as a Service Designer\nLead service design activities across Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live. \nProduce service maps, journeys, blueprints, and end-to-end service models. \nWork collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams to align user needs, business goals and technology constraints. \nProvide professional advice on service design approaches, risks and opportunities. \nCoordinate service design work to time, quality and business expectations. \nFacilitate workshops, co-design and decision-making forums. \nSupport the development of service design practice and mentor junior team members. \nWhat you’ll bring\nStrong expertise across the DDaT service design lifecycle. \nAbility to influence decisions with evidence, research and clear rationale. \nExperience delivering complex service design in multi-disciplinary teams. \nStrong communication skills and confidence in simplifying complexity. \nAbility to contribute to planning, strategy and roadmap discussions. \nExperience coaching or supporting others in service design. \nCore areas (must have):\nProven experience in end-to-end service design (DDaT). \nAbility to produce service artefacts at multiple levels (journeys → blueprints → ecosystems). \nSkilled in evidence-based design: insight synthesis, problem framing, prioritisation. \nAbility to influence stakeholders across engineering, product and policy domains. \nExperience coordinating service design delivery across phases and teams \nDesirable:\nExposure to operational service management (ITIL, SLAs, support models). \nExperience in defence, government or regulated environments. \nWorking knowledge of adjacent roles (UR, BA, Product, Interaction Design). \nExperience in agile or SAFe delivery environments. \nProfessional training/accreditation in service design or human-centred design. \nContribution to communities of practice or internal capability uplift. \nThis is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above.
