The Project Engineer Intern will participate in Leopardo’s intern training program.\nInternship responsibilities include duties such as:\nProject Management\nMonitor master construction schedule and track critical dates of all activities affecting the project completion (Owner, Architect, Consultants, Contractor, Subcontractors, Municipalities, Equipment Suppliers, Site Due Diligence, etc.); provide updates as required. \nReview and process submittals, shop drawings and RFI’s. Establish, maintain and update logs that meet Company or Owner’s specifications.\nParticipate in pre, weekly (e.g. OAC, MEP Coordination, Pre-installation, etc.) and post construction meetings. \nMaintain change order log to review weekly status of changes.\nProject completion closeout documentation. \nEnsure correct setup and maintenance of filing and archiving systems.\nEstimating Support\nReview bid documents to create quantity take-offs; develop RFI’s as required. \nParticipate in jobsite walkthroughs to verify actual field conditions.\nDevelop a list of qualified subcontract bidders using PowerTools to attain the per trade requirements. Communicate with subcontract bidders to increase coverage if necessary.\nReceive and analyze Subcontractor bids as they relate to drawings, specifications and scope of work using bid day form. \nField Operations /Safety Support\nMaintain daily logs, participate in Subcontractor meetings to coordinate activities.\nComplete daily jobsite walk to review conditions / progress and assist in completing audits, inspections and daily logs. \nUpdate construction documents on site. Participate in coordination and pre-installation meetings. Generate field documentation to assist the LEED Project Coordinator in final submission to approving authorities. \nGenerate punchlist, determine responsible subcontractor for each item and follow up with subcontractor(s) to ensure timely completion.\nWork on site and interact with clients, owner’s reps or end users/unit owners as required by a project.\nLeopardo does not discriminate based on any protected category with respect to wages, the hourly wage for this role is $20 per hour.\nWhy Leopardo:\nLeopardo is one of the nation’s largest and most respected construction firms, building world-class facilities with innovative, environmentally-friendly processes.
