This is not a traditional QA role. The candidate will:\nDrive AI-assisted test case generation and test optimization\nBuild automation-first testing systems (UI, API, integration)\nOwn quality processes, Jira workflows, and release governance\nEnable engineering teams to adopt continuous testing and shift-left practices\nThe ideal candidate combines strong QA fundamentals + automation expertise + practical use of GenAI tools to improve speed, coverage, and efficiency.\n(B) JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY\n1. QA Strategy & Platform Ownership\nDefine and own the quality engineering strategy across products\nDrive shift-left testing, continuous testing, and automation-first culture\nEstablish quality benchmarks, SLAs, and release readiness standards\nStandardize QA processes across teams and projects\n2. GenAI-Driven Testing (Critical)\nLeverage Generative AI tools (e.g., LLMs, Copilot, internal AI tools) to:\no Generate test cases from requirements, PRDs, and user stories\no Auto-create test scenarios, edge cases, and negative test coverage\no Assist in test data generation and synthetic data creation\nUse AI for:\no Test case optimization and deduplication\no Impact analysis (what to test based on code changes)\no Defect pattern analysis and prediction\nBuild internal workflows/prompts/frameworks to scale GenAI usage across QA\n3. Test Automation & Frameworks (Critical)\nDesign and implement scalable automation frameworks:\no UI (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)\no API (REST Assured, Postman, Karate)\nDrive high automation coverage for regression and critical paths\nIntegrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)\nEnsure maintainability, reusability, and speed of automation suites\n4. Jira & QA Process Ownership (Critical)\nOwn and optimize Jira workflows for QA lifecycle:\no Requirement → Test Case → Defect → Release tracking\nEnsure clear traceability between user stories, test cases, and defects\nDefine defect lifecycle, severity classification, and SLAs\nBuild dashboards and reports for:\no Test coverage\no Defect leakage\no Release quality metrics\nDrive discipline in sprint QA processes and release governance\n5. Test Planning & Execution\nCreate comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios\nEnsure coverage across:\no Functional\no Regression\no Integration\no UAT\nCoordinate with product and engineering for acceptance criteria\n6. Performance, API & Non-Functional Testing\nDrive performance testing using tools like JMeter, k6, etc.\nValidate system behavior under load, stress, and edge conditions\nEnsure API reliability and contract validation\nCollaborate on security testing and vulnerability assessments\n7. Defect Management & Quality Insights\nOwn end-to-end defect lifecycle management\nAnalyze defect trends and perform root cause analysis\nReduce defect leakage into production through preventive measures\nProvide actionable insights to engineering and product teams\n8. Developer & Team Enablement\nEnable developers to adopt unit testing and test automation practices\nMentor QA engineers on automation, GenAI usage, and best practices\nBuild a lean, high-impact QA team (less manual, more automation)\nPromote “quality as a shared responsibility” across teams\n9. Observability & Continuous Improvement\nDefine and track quality KPIs (coverage, escape rate, flakiness, MTTR)\nContinuously improve QA processes using data and insights\nIntroduce modern practices like:\no Test impact analysis\no Risk-based testing\no Continuous quality monitoring\n(C) QUALIFICATION & SKILLSET\nCore QA & Automation\n8-12 years in QA with strong automation experience\nHands-on expertise in:\no UI automation (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)\no API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)\nStrong programming skills (Java, Python, or JavaScript)\nExperience integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines\nGenAI in QA (Must-Have)\nPractical experience using GenAI tools for testing workflows\nAbility to:\no Generate test cases using LLMs\no Use AI for test optimization and coverage improvement\no Build reusable prompts/workflows for QA teams\nUnderstanding of how AI improves speed, coverage, and efficiency in QA\nJira & Process Excellence\nDeep expertise in Jira workflows, dashboards, and reporting\nStrong understanding of Agile/Scrum QA processes\nExperience in defining quality gates and release criteria\nPerformance & Systems Understanding\nExperience in performance testing tools (JMeter, k6, etc.)\nGood understanding of backend systems, APIs, and databases\nAbility to validate complex workflows and distributed systems\nNice-to-Have\nExperience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes and microservices architectures\nExposure to geospatial/GIS systems\nExperience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr,
