This office-based position in Century City requires commitment to additional hours during month-end periods and as needed to meet deliverables.\nKEY PERFORMANCE AREAS\nFinancial Operations Management\nServe as the main contact person for finance-related queries across the group\nManage the group's accounting department and review the work of bookkeepers\nApprove payments and implement process improvements for finance procedures and internal controls\nConsolidate group results and prepare month-end financial reports and Executive Committee packs\nPerform other finance-related duties as required\nOverall financial management of other smaller subsidiaries\nOverhead Budgeting\nProvide budgetary input to the Finance Manager: Projects Accounting for the annual budget\nMonitor and control overhead expenditure against approved budgets.\nTreasury Management\nReview daily and weekly cash flow requirements\nManage intercompany loan accounts and repayments to Lesedi Nuclear Services\nEnsure sufficient cash availability in current accounts for payments\nSupport the preparation of cash flow forecasts for the group, with particular focus on overheads\nStatutory and Tax Compliance\nManage external financial audits\nOversee income tax, VAT,PAYE and employee tax calculations and submissions for all companies in the group\nCoordinate filing and reviewing of tax returns with auditors\nHandle SARS audits, SARB approvals, and FICA compliance\nMaintain CIPC updates and declaration of annual duties\nQUALIFICATION\nCA (SA) (understanding of IFRS is crucial) non-negotiable\nEXPERIENCE\nMinimum 5 years demonstrated experience in a Financial Manager/Financial Controller, having owned a full accounting function.\nExperience managing a finance team of 5+ employees\nBanking relationship management experience, including obtaining/managing facilities (credit card, vehicle asset finance, etc)\nStrong practical application of accounting and ERP software in a business environment\nAdvanced level experience with Excel spreadsheets and formulas (pivot tables, complex formulas)\nHands-on experience consolidating group results for group financial statement purposes\nStrong technical experience across month-end, balance sheet controls, year-end/audit tax compliance, and consolidations in line with IFRS\nExperience in an engineering/construction environment is beneficial, not required.\nCOMPETENCIES\nKnowledge\nProven knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)\nWorking knowledge of relevant legislative requirements related to the role\nUnderstanding of sound financial management practices including planning, budgeting, monitoring, and control\nStrong understanding of accruals, provisions, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation, intercompany transactions and other balance-sheet controls.\nCash flow management expertise\nKnowledge in South African tax\nSkills\nCompetence in financial software applications such as Caseware would be advantageous\nKnowledge of ERP systems (e.g., IFS, SAP)\nAdvanced computer literacy-Advance Excel is essential\nAbility to extract, manipulate and analyse financial information\nBehaviours\nStrong attention to detail and analytical thinking\nExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities\nHigh degree of integrity to create trust and respect amongst colleagues\nLeadership skills to steer staff toward good performance results\nAbility to develop staff members' full potential\nFair and objective assessment of staff performance\nEffective
