Accountabilities and Responsibilities\nDevelops and ensure implementation of country Internal Audit strategic and operational audit plans.\nDevelops and manages internal audit policy documents, guidelines, and charters for adoption at country\nImplements the Assurance Model within the Country through collaboration with the Risk and Compliance functions, External Auditors and Regulators to ensure appropriate assurance coverage.\nAdheres to the International Internal Audit (IIA) standards for all internal audit activities concerning positioning, people and processes, with a critical view of achieving and maintaining conformance status.\nExecutes approved audit plans within the Country and report to the Country Audit Committee.\nPresents Internal Audit findings to the Board of Directors, Audit Committee and Country Management to determine recommendations to appropriate collective plan. \nEnsures that Internal Audit reviews determine sufficient governance and control.\nImplement the strategies and policies approved by the Board, develop processes that adequately identify, measure, monitor and control Risks faced by the institution.\nFeedback and surveys from stakeholders (including senior management, the Board, and regulatory authorities) regarding their satisfaction with the internal audit process and reports.\nEfficiency in resource allocation for audit activities, measured by factors such as budget adherence and personnel utilization.\nEnsures the Head of Internal Audit and the internal audit team stay updated with industry trends, changes in regulations, and advancements in audit technology.\nEnsures the growth and development of the internal audit team under the Head's leadership, including metrics like training hours, certifications achieved, and team turnover rate.\nEnsures the successful integration and utilization of audit technology and data analytics to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of audit processes.\nRequirements\nChartered Accountant (CA) / ACCA / CIMA/CFA\nMBA would be an added advantage\nAt least 10 years continuous relevant experience, with at least 5 years in senior management role\nExperience in innovating and developing audit methodologies and standards\nCertification\nCISA/CIA or relevant professional
