To achieve this ambitious vision, we’re assembling the best team in the world - dedicated to turning cutting-edge science into life-changing, real-world solutions.\nAbout this role\nWe’re looking for a Microsystems Engineer to help design, prototype, and scale the microfluidic and microfabricated wearable platform at Level Zero. Working closely with the founding team, you’ll take concepts from CAD-driven design through cleanroom fabrication, device validation, and process refinement-building hardware that can ultimately be manufactured at scale. \n\nWhat you'll do\nDesign and develop microfluidic wearable platforms, including CAD modelling, lithography, and experimental setup\nFabricate biosensor devices, including iterative prototyping in cleanroom environments, device validation, and preparation for scale-up and manufacturing\nRun device characterisation experiments and keep track of performance on synthetic replicas, or during clinical studies\nContribute to early-stage R&D, collaborating with engineering leadership to define and refine future design iterations\nWhat you bring\nThe ideal candidate must have:\nMaster’s degree with 1-4 years of industry experience, or PhD with 0-2 years of industry experience in microfluidics, microtechnology, materials science, biomedical engineering, nanotechnology, or a related discipline, with a focus on microfluidics and/or wearable or microneedle technologies\nHands-on experience in microfabrication cleanroom environments, including (but not limited to): silicon wafer processing, laser etching, photolithography, wet etching (HF, KOH), dry etching (RIE, ICP), microscopy, thin film deposition, e-beam lithography, laser lithography, and any other relevant microfabrication technique\nProven experience in microfluidic chip ideation and design, including core components such as mixers, metering systems, valves, etc.\nStrong understanding of microscale fluid dynamics and flow control (pressure-driven flow, capillary flow, paper wicking, etc.)\nExperience in mechanical testing and material characterisation of biological samples\nNice to have:\nExperience with handling and flow of dermal interstitial fluid\nExperience designing wearable medical devices\nKnowledge of electrochemistry and biosensing principles\nPrior work in a start-up or small company environment ****\nWho You Are\nWe value culture as much as we value technical expertise, creating an environment that’s equal parts collaboration, curiosity, and fun.\nWe’re a fast-paced, mission-driven young team on a quest to make a lasting impact, fueled by uncompromising integrity, unwavering support for one another, and the thrill of exploring uncharted territories.
