This role sets the UX strategy, champions end-user needs, and partners closely with product, engineering, merchandising, marketing, and brand creative teams. Leading a team of 12 (two group managers and 10 designers), you'll drive design excellence, influence product roadmaps, align senior leaders around innovative ideas, and collaborate across regions and functions. You'll also help redefine how work gets done at Levi's by integrating AI into the design process. This role can be based anywhere in the US and reports to the VP, Product Management & User Experience.\nAbout the Job\nProvide the vision to transform user experience across the entire ecosystem of Levi's products and services\nChampion design thinking and UX best practices across the organization\nSet and maintain design quality standards, including critique, design reviews, and the design system, so great work scales across channels and regions\nTie design work to business results, such as conversion and retention in consumer channels and adoption and productivity in internal tools, and use those measures to set priorities\nAI-immersed, you lead with curiosity and adapt your team's workflow to changing technology\nLead the design of AI-powered experiences for consumers and associates, including how people understand and come to trust what the AI is doing\nDirect the rapid creation and iteration of ideas through storyboards, user flows, mock-ups, prototypes, and other novel methods\nDevelop new experiences and experience paradigms, and produce patterns, training, and resources that help teams build better experiences\nEvolve the use of various inputs to identify customer problems and define new solutions\nInfluence and implement big-idea design thinking with VP+ level executives\nDrive a cohesive user experience vision across the tools our teams and partners use every day, from store and associate tools to planning, merchandising, and wholesale\nUnderstand when to direct the team to skim broadly and when to dive deep into the design of an experience - especially where to draw the line on the MVP\nRecruit, develop, and retain an exceptional, multidisciplinary team of diverse user experience talent, while investing in culture, health, and inclusivity\nAbout You\nBA/BS degree in a design-related field such as Interface Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or equivalent experience\n10+ years of experience in UX or product design roles with an emphasis on global e-commerce and global retail\n5 years of people management experience\nExperience with AI prototyping and coding tools (e.g., Lovable, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)\nExperience with different channels (web, app, and in-store)\nExperience collaborating across organizational boundaries, domains, and geographies\nDeep understanding of the needs and culture of all creative disciplines that make up a UX team\nExperience working directly with brand and creative teams, in addition to UX\nCompelling and confident storyteller\nA strong eye for design, and critique that makes the work better\nHigh standards for detail, including the interaction and visual polish customers notice\nA portfolio showing work you led and the business results it drove\nThis is a remote role based in the U.S. The expected starting salary range for this role is $148,600 - $245,400 per year . We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.\nLevi Strauss & Co.
