The Capital Project Engineer will manage a portfolio of projects varying between Surface, Shafts and Underground at our Colonsay location. Projects will include new Mine Development as well as Asset Sustaining projects. Tasks relating to this job include preliminary or detailed project scoping, engineering design, scheduling, cost estimating, procurement, supervision, execution, and construction management. The engineer will also support production and maintenance teams by working with the Esterhazy team to achieve the strategic priorities of Mosaic.\nWhat will you be Responsible For?\nProject execution and management of capital projects of varying size and complexity\nResponsible for scope, schedule, budget, safety and quality\nResponsible for contractor management and driving positive safety culture\nProject administration including project approval, reporting schedule updates\nTechnical design of projects and oversite of third-party engineering\nCost control including developing estimates and budgets and providing monthly forecasting for projects\nSchedule development and reporting\nEngineering design (developing engineering work packages for projects)\nConstruction oversite in an industrial environment\nDepartment initiatives (non-project specific engineering, project management process definition)\nSite and company initiatives to support safety, production, expansion and maintenance.\nTechnical/personal development and coaching others (contractors, trades, training courses, etc.)\n\nWhat do you need for this role?\nA bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, Mechanical engineer degree, preferred.\nRegistered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or P.Eng designation with The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)\nBroad engineering and construction knowledge in all disciplines is an asset\nComputer Skills in MS Office Suite are required\nEngineering Software skills required\nHighly Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities\nWe will consider a lower Engineer Designation if candidate has fewer years of experience\nMust be able to work in an underground mine environment\nEngineer II\n2+ years of Engineering experience\nDemonstrated project management experience with strong problem solving skills\nEngineer III\n4+ years of Engineering experience\nDemonstrated project management experience with strong problem solving skills\nRelevant construction management experience in and industrial environment\nRegistered as an P.Eng designation with The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)\nExperience delivering projects in an operating industrial plant or brownfield environment\nExperience in an underground mine environment is desirable\nDemonstrate strengths in soft skills related to people management, leadership and written/verbal communications.\nEngineer Senior\n8+ years of Engineering experience\nDemonstrated project management experience with strong problem solving skills\nRelevant construction management experience in and industrial environment\nRegistered as an P.Eng designation with The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)\nExperience delivering projects in an operating industrial plant or brownfield environment.\nExperience in an underground mine environment is desirable\nDemonstrate strengths in soft skills related to people management, leadership and written/verbal communications\nAbility to assist/supervise technical personnel and work independently\nBenefits Offered by Mosaic:\nMedical, Dental, Vision insurance\nPaid vacation, holidays, and sick time\nTuition Reimbursement\nFinancial Security Program\nOptional HSA plan with company match\nThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.
