This position performs software design - typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.\nResponsibilities:\nServe as a primary technical point of contact for external technology resources.\nProvide design input across a product.\nWork directly with customers and end users.\nServe as acknowledged “go to” person on coding and technical issues.\nInterface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.\nWrite and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.\nComplete complex bug fixes.\nMentor lead software developers interested in consultancy on development methodologies and optimization techniques.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nRequirements:\n7+ years of Software Engineering experience, with a BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.\nStrong front-end development experience with React, along with solid knowledge of Java development and open-source technologies, including Apache Camel and Spring Boot.\nExpertise in AWS Cloud technologies, including ECS, S3, SQS, Step Functions, Lambda/serverless solutions, CloudFormation templates, and AWS database creation and upgrades.\nStrong experience in Java security vulnerability remediation, test-driven development (TDD), software maintenance, architectural principles, data manipulation, and optimization techniques.\nExperience with payment processors, payment transactions, and the development and integration of payment web services.\nStrong knowledge of Agile software development methodologies, technology trends, industry best practices, and external resource models, including Managed Services and Staff Augmentation.\nProven ability to lead and collaborate with internal and external technology teams, solve complex technical and business challenges, troubleshoot issues, assess risks and impacts, and translate findings into effective solutions.\nExcellent project planning, organization, time and change management, delegation, problem-solving, interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and written/verbal communication skills, including communicating effectively with customers and senior/executive stakeholders.\nWorking for you:\nWe know that your wellbeing and happiness are key to a long and successful career.
