Here, you’ll build something that lasts: a trusted platform, a strong reputation, a new standard for the legal world.\nThe Role\nAs we bring accounting in-house and prepare for our first audit, we are looking for an Accountant to build the accounting engine behind our Finance team. You’ll report to our Finance lead and own the process that gets us reliable numbers every month, working with one of the first AI-first accounting platforms adopted in Italy.\nYour key responsibilities\nAccounting Internalization: Bring Italian accounting in-house from January, starting with a dry run in December and working with our external accountants through the transition.\n\nMonthly Close: Own the tasks that get us to a monthly close within 10 business days: invoice registration, bank reconciliations, and pre-close checks.\n\nAI-First Accounting Tooling: Set up our accounting platform (Light), make sure what goes in and what comes out is right, and push automation further every month.\n\nInvoicing Control: Make sure every deal is invoiced and every invoice is checked and recorded, increasing the share of invoicing that runs automatically.\n\nAudit Readiness & International Entities: Keep the books audit-ready and support the accounting setup with local accountants across our European entities.\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nAccounting Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in accounting, ideally in a Big Four firm or in a startup or scale-up.\n\nMonthly Close: Direct experience contributing to monthly closes and reconciliations on tight deadlines.\n\nControl Mindset: A sharp eye for errors and the habit of checking the numbers before anyone asks.\n\nBuilder & Automation Mindset: You build processes rather than just follow them, and you’re curious about how software and AI can remove manual work.\n\nLocation & Language: Based in or willing to relocate to Milan (hybrid model).
