Typically balances hands-on practical troubleshooting with technical design work. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager. \nEssential Duties and Responsibilities \nSystem Maintenance: Supervise and schedule routine upkeep for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and exhaust systems.\nCompliance & Safety: Ensure facility operations follow local building codes, OSHA guidelines, and environmental regulations.\nProject Management: Design and manage facility upgrades, layouts, renovations, and capital improvement budgets.\nVendor Oversight: Hire, manage, and coordinate outside contractors and technical service providers.\nEnergy Efficiency: Implement sustainability programs and monitor utility consumption to lower operational costs.\n Troubleshooting: Diagnose critical infrastructure failures and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent downtime.\nEducation and Experience:\n Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical experience).\nExperience: 7+ years of hands-on background in building engineering, property maintenance, or facilities management.\n Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints/CAD drawings, understanding MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, and utilizing Google and computerized maintenance software (MaintainX.)\nStrong cross-functional collaboration skills working with EHS, Operations, and IT teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\n Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license, EPA refrigerant certification, or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential, Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or OSHA 10/30-Hour General Industry.\nHands-on experience with BMS/BAS platforms and SCADA systems.\nBackground in cleanrooms, manufacturing/production operations, or lab facilities .\nExperience with hot work permitting, LOTO program administration, and spill response protocols.\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to lift 20 pounds (or more in certain circumstances.)\nAbility to reach and manipulate controls on equipment\nAbility to climb stairs, navigate ladders and access roof hatches.\nPerform work activities with production chemicals, adhesives and epoxies, using required personal protective equipment\nRequires physical activity such as standing for long periods of time, walking, and working with hands\nWork Environment\nOffice environment (Average - \"60% office, 40% active facility/production floor\")\nLimited temperature fluctuations, heated and air-conditioned environment\nWork is performed near moving mechanical parts, electrical components and occasionally with sensitive chemicals\nThe noise level in the work environment is typically moderate\nPerks (For US full-time employees)\nUnlimited PTO for exempt employees\n13 paid holidays per year\nGenerous premium coverage for medical, dental, and vision plans\nGroup plan voluntary life insurance\nPre-tax commuter benefits program\nPaid parental leave\nFringe benefits\nWorkplace perks such as food/coffee and flexible work schedules\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
