He or she also troubleshoots problems dealing with machines. In addition, he or she is responsible for any other task the Maintenance Supervisor deems necessary.\nThis will be a 2nd shift position, Monday - Friday from 3:00pm - 11:30pm. Occasional overtime may be required.\nEssential Functions:\nPerform facility maintenance including basic plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.\nDiagnose forklift issues and breakdowns, obtain technical and parts information to repair industrial equipment\nRepair and maintain all plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, production equipment, etc.\nAdjust and replace parts in machines or equipment\nInspect all machinery and equipment\nOrder parts for machinery and equipment\nFabricate new equipment when needed\nInstall any equipment needed\nTrain new Maintenance Technicians\nComplete unscheduled downtime records\nPerform total productive maintenance (TPM) tasks as scheduled and understands actions to take when the TPM schedule cannot be met.\nLock and unlock plant, verifying that all equipment and water /steam sources are turned off during lock up procedure\nMaintain a clean work area\nUnderstands the importance of Universal Waste Recycling and follows the procedures in EMS category 8.0 for Battery, Oils, and fluorescent Lamp recycling.\nReduce utility consumption\nSubmit new and/or reactivated gages and calibration standards to Gage Control\nMay be responsible for handling hazardous waste\nPerform Lockout -Tagout\nConsult the Maintenance Supervisor to determine critical spare parts for any new or modified equipment\nConsult affected team members at all locations on any new, repaired, modified equipment, process so similar equipment/ processes are also considered.\nSend email to other maintenance shifts at that facility of any Down Time on Equipment concerns when possible\nKnows how to locate and use the maintenance guides on the Uniseal Intranet.\nReact to emergency response actions as specified in the Emergency Action Plan \nSkills / Competencies\nAble to use electrical testing equipment including multimeters and circuit testers\nExcellent organizational skills\nExcellent problem-solving skills\nStrong training skills\nTime management skills\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma\nExperience:\n2 years of Maintenance experience required\nManufacturing and/or production experience preferred\nWork Environment:\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
