(LGCOP)\nRavenna, Ohio\nPosition Summary\nLG Chem Ohio Petrochemical, Inc. (LGCOP) is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Logistics Specialist to support customer order fulfillment, logistics coordination, and inventory management activities at our ABS Compounding Facility in Ravenna, Ohio.\nReporting to the Logistics Manager, this position serves as a critical link between customers, Sales, Production, Quality, warehouse partners, and transportation providers. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing customer orders from receipt through delivery and invoicing, while ensuring accurate system transactions, timely shipment execution, and exceptional customer service.\nThe ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, possesses strong communication and organizational skills, and has experience coordinating logistics activities within a production facility.\nEssential Functions\nReceive and process customer purchase orders.\nEnter and maintain customer orders within the ERP system.\nManage customer orders throughout the order-to-delivery cycle.\nProcess transactions related to order management, shipping, inventory, and invoicing.\nPlan, track, and monitor sales orders based on customer requirements and business priorities.\nCoordinate LTL and FTL transportation providers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.\nCommunicate with customers regarding order status, shipment schedules, delivery changes, and billing inquiries.\nPartner with Sales, Production, Quality, and warehouse teams to resolve order issues and ensure customer satisfaction.\nMonitor shipment status and provide customers with estimated delivery information.\nVerify inventory availability with warehouse and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.\nCoordinate order fulfillment and shipment processing activities with 3PL partners.\nReview transportation and logistics invoices for accuracy and approval.\nProcess shipping and logistics-related invoicing activities.\nPrepare export documentation for international shipments, including certificates of origin, commercial invoices, shipping instructions, and related documentation.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong customer service and relationship management skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to effectively coordinate with customers, transportation providers, warehouse partners, and internal stakeholders.\nStrong organizational and multitasking abilities.\nProven problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.\nExperience working with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.\nKnowledge of logistics, transportation, warehousing, and inventory management processes.\nUnderstanding of import/export procedures, customs requirements, and shipping documentation.\nExperience with freight cost management, reporting, and invoice processing.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.\nKnowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations.\nLean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.\nForklift certification is preferred but not required.\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.\nQualifications\nMinimum of three (3) years of experience in logistics, customer order management, transportation coordination, supply chain operations, or a related field.\nExperience supporting customer orders from order entry through shipment and invoicing.\nExperience working with transportation providers, warehouses, and third-party logistics partners.\nFamiliarity with inventory management and order fulfillment processes.\nExperience preparing and managing export documentation is preferred.\nExperience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.\nSAP experience is strongly preferred.\nMust be authorized to work in the United States.\nWhy Join LG Chem Ohio Petrochemical, Inc.?\nAt LGCOP, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative manufacturing environment where customer service, operational excellence, and teamwork are highly valued.
