The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing, maintaining and adjusting all machinery and equipment in the plant. He or she also troubleshoots problems dealing with machines. In addition, he or she is responsible for any other task the Maintenance Supervisor deems necessary. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.\nHours of 3rd shift: Sunday evening to Friday morning - 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM\n3rd Shift Premium: $1.50 per hour\nEssential Function:\nSupport, maintain and troubleshoot electrical/electronic equipment, mechanical equipment, hydraulic equipment, and pneumatic equipment\nSupport, maintain and troubleshoot mixing and extrusion equipment\nProficient in reading electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automation drawings\nPerform a wide range of mechanical repairs (i.e. conveyors, pumps, valves, mechanical drives)\nPerform basic electrical installations and repairs\nPerform and document preventative maintenance activities\nMaintain a clean, organized and safe working environment\nDemonstrate willingness and ability to learn complex manufacturing systems\nOn-call manufacturing support for maintenance after hours and weekends\nAbility to work overtime as scheduled or needed\nAdhere to all safety standards (i.e. permit to work, lock-out and tag-out procedures)\nAdhere to all company policies and procedures\nProficiency in troubleshooting HVAC systems a plus\nProficiency in welding and fabrication a plus\nProficiency in related construction fields (concrete, masonry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) a plus\nPerform total productive maintenance (TPM) tasks as scheduled.\nConsult the Maintenance Lead to determine critical spare parts for any new or modified equipment.\nOther duties as assigned\nSkills / Competencies:\n5+ years of technical experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred\nExperience in managing service providers who handle specialized installation, maintenance, and repair of machines and equipment\nWorking knowledge of electrical/electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems\nExpertise in handling multiple projects and daily activities with timelines\nDemonstrated willingness to vocalize and review problems with supervisor and cross-functional team members in order to determine the best course of action\nDemonstrated verbal and written communication skills\nDemonstrated ability to accurately perform basic computations\nAble to drive a tow motor and pallet-jack lift\nAble to transport tools and parts to needed locations within the plant and warehouse\nAble to access all areas of the plant including the roof and areas above equipment\nAbility to climb ladders\nComfortable with working in a wide range of environments from interior to exterior, confined space, elevated platforms and heights.\nComfortable with workplace technology like registers, scheduling software, inventory management software.\nWorking knowledge of rotating machine(blower, etc), station machine(hopper, etc) and electric machine.(motor, etc)\nWorking knowledge of applicable regulations.
