At LG, we strive to make Life Good for Everyone. \nPosition Location: Aliso Viejo, CA\nAs the Development Engineer II CONTRACTOR, you will:\nResponsibilities\nPerform MNO certification testing and validation activities for cellular-connected automotive products.\nSupport carrier certification processes by preparing test plans, executing test cases, and documenting results.\nInvestigate network, modem, software, and system issues identified during certification testing and support root cause analysis.\nWork closely with development teams, certification labs, and carriers to resolve certification-related issues.\nMonitor certification milestones and provide regular status updates on testing progress and issue closure.\nSupport compliance with carrier requirements and ensure certification deliverables are completed on schedule.\nMaintain technical documentation, test reports, and issue tracking records.\nSupport product launch readiness activities related to carrier and connectivity certifications.\nCore Requirements\nKnowledge of wireless communication technologies, including LTE, 5G, VoLTE, and network protocols.\nExperience in product validation, certification, testing, or related engineering activities.\nAbility to analyze technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive issue resolution.\nExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams, external partners, and customers to achieve project objectives.\nPassion for technology, continuous learning, and delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with MNO/Carrier certification activities for wireless, telematics, or connected products.\nBilingual - Korean / English\nFamiliarity with carrier, regulatory, or industry certification processes and requirements.\nExperience with embedded systems, networking, and diagnostic/log analysis tools.\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.\n3+ years of experience in wireless communications, telematics, connectivity solutions.\nTravel/Physical Requirements: \nUp to 30% travel, including out-of-state and international travel as required\nAbility to:\nSit/Drive and/or test in a vehicle for up to 8 hours a day, up to 4 hours at a time\nAbility to lift/carry up to 30lb samples, benches, box and tools\nInteract with display/center controller/steering wheel while driving or while stationary testing\nRecruiting Range\n$70,725—$94,300 USD\nBenefits Offered Full-Time Employees:\nNo-cost employee premiums for you and your eligible dependents for competitive medical, dental, vision and prescription benefits.\nAuto enrollment with immediate vesting of competitive company matching contributions in a 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with several investment options.\nGenerous Paid Time Off program that includes company holidays and a combined bank of paid sick and vacation time. \nPerformance based Short-Term Incentives (varies by role).\nAccess to confidential mental health resources to help you and your loved ones improve your quality of life.
