VS (Vehicle component Solutions) Company (https://www.lg.com/global/mobility) of LG Electronics focuses on commercializing environmentally responsible automotive components and core solutions based on LG’s proprietary technologies. A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.

As the Validation Engineer, you will:

• Perform validation for infotainment products by utilizing test benches and vehicles
• Responsible for executing basic Sanity, customer found issues, updated specification from customer and full test cases
• Analyze test results to determine if product meet specifications
• Create/maintain test cases per product specifications
• Utilize tracking system to report and track product defects
• Test bench setup / SW updates
• Field Test / Joint field test with OEM
• OEM Onsite Support in Farmington Hills, MI
• Maintain relationships with overseas counterparts to effectively share information and resolve issues
• Support to resolve technical issues
• Support and communicate with R&D team, not only in North America but other regions such as Korea
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or an equivalent
• 0+ years of experience required.
• Ability to travel (Domestic & International): Up to 30%
• Knowledge of:
• Test bench and vehicle setup
• In-car infotainment systems technologies
• Specifications and ability to analyze test results
• Process on how to create test cases with the appropriate test case structure
• How to interface with the bug tracking system
• Vehicle communication protocols
• Python and automation tool development
• System testing experience
• Automotive testing experience, including vehicle testing/driving and test car setup and maintenance
• Experience in testing/implementing vehicle components, such as telematics
• Ability to:
• Learn and adapt to new software and hardware tools and technologies
• Work across multiple disciplines (systems, embedded, server, wireless carriers, testing
• Recognize and mitigate both technical and organizational challenges
• Sit in/drive test vehicle for up to 8 hours at a time for testing
• Lift/Setup benches weighing up to 30lbs
• Maintain regular on-site attendance at the designated work location (in office, at customer site, etc.)
• Conduct work activities and/or attend occasional meetings after regular business hours when necessary
• Maintain respectful work-related interactions and communications at all times
• Adhere to all established company policies and procedures, work rules, and code of conduct
• Valid Driver’s License

• Desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies
• Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
