At LG, we strive to make Life Good for Everyone. \nChiller Data Center Organization is searching for a Data Center Chiller Field Engineer in our Alpharetta GA office. The Data Center Field Engineer is responsible for monitoring field products and technical quality standards by identifying current issues in the field. You will work to identify, document, and eliminate those issues as well as support our aftermarket operation, and a training team with technical expertise.\n\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities.\n\nField Support: \nTravel to field locations to track and investigate products quality. Travel up to 50%\nSupport HQ Korea factory engineering and Quality engineering in gathering and providing data relevant to solving product field issues\nCoordinate with other technical team members to provide direction and action plan for resolution.\nArrange for and facilitate supervised technical assistance for unresolved technical issues.\nDevelop technical bulletins on product quality.\nProvide monthly analysis of quality claims to management\n\nQuality Support: \nAssist management in analyzing warranty data to identify above average warranty claim patterns to drive quality improvements.\nReview HQ Korea technical documents to improve US quality technical knowledge\nEffectively interacting with factory quality engineer teams to maintain qualities of products.\nProvide technical troubleshooting process improvements and knowledge share to LG training and technical teams.\nPerform critical software and hardware service updates to equipment in inventory or in the field as required.\nProduct Testing and Evaluation: \nWork with HQ Korea Quality lab teams to develop Test procedures for US\nConduct product testing in the warranty lab or R&D lab from field investigation\nIncorporate Field findings with Lab test support.\n\nCustomer based quality improvement: \nProvide direct technical guidance via phone and email to facilitate timely resolution of system issues and ensure customer satisfaction.\nField quality and Voice of Customer research for product quality improvement.\nRead, understand and interpret wiring schematics and refrigerant circuit diagrams and convey information to customers.\nTeam Support:\nCoordinate as Technical Manager with Project Manager on escalated field technical issues\nCoordinate with Program Manager on LG program initiatives.\nProvide and develop technical knowledge and support for training, warranty, aftermarket teams and support personnel for the Installation, Maintenance and Service of the Water products.\nWork with other teams and departments to support their quality efforts by proactively identifying and documenting issues that have the potential to affect jobs across the customer base and the organization\nOther projects and work assigned.\nJob Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience prefered\n10+ years of technical field experience working in the HVAC industry on commercial products\n5+ years of VRF experience highly preferred\nCommercial Applied HVAC equipment service experience in all aspects of troubleshooting\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office (such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word and outlook)\nKnowledge in managing quality issues\nSkills of work planning including identifying action items\nAbility to work well with others in a collaborative environment.\nKnowledge of quality management\nProactive work attitude\nStrong communication skills\nRecruiting Range\n$80,000—$110,000 USD\nBenefits Offered Full-Time Employees:\nNo-cost employee premiums for you and your eligible dependents for competitive medical, dental, vision and prescription benefits.\nAuto enrollment with immediate vesting of competitive company matching contributions in a 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with several investment options.\nGenerous Paid Time Off program that includes company holidays and a combined bank of paid sick and vacation time. \nPerformance based Short-Term Incentives (varies by role).\nAccess to confidential mental health resources to help you and your loved ones improve your quality of life.
