Provide details to the office for quoting for the pricing of any items required for maintenance, repair, or installation work.\nOVERVIEW OF ACCOUNTABILITIES\nCore Focus\nTo deliver servicing, maintenance and repairs to height safety equipment including the following:\nFall Arrest and Life Safety Lines\n\nEyebolts - fall restraint and abseil\n\nGantries and walkways\n\nGuardrails\n\nLadders - fixed and portable\n\nGeneral lifting equipment\n\nEnsuring that health and safety regulations and guidelines are followed at all times and to comply with British Standards.\n\nTo highlight any further works required following service or reactive works.\n\nSupport of other divisions when required\n\nCustomer Engagement:\nAddress Customer Inquiries: Responsively attend to customer inquiries, offering comprehensive and accurate information to address their queries promptly.\n\nReport Additional Works: Following Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) visits, meticulously report all necessary additional works, providing a transparent overview of the equipment's condition.\n\nSite surveys & reporting:\nAccurate Record Keeping: Systematically record all pertinent details during site surveys, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the equipment and any additional requirements.\n\nReporting to Line Manager: Communicate all findings, observations, and project requirements promptly to the line manager for further analysis and action.\n\nSimpro Job Management:\nAccurately complete all assigned jobs within Simpro, ensuring job cards are closed in a timely manner and in line with company procedures.\nAsset-Level Reporting:\nEnsure all assets are correctly recorded within Simpro, including:\nAccurate pass/fail status\n\nClear identification of defects\n\nConfirmation where assets are missing, removed, or altered by others\n\nWork Notes & Tech Notes:\nMaintain clear and professional entries in both Work Notes (client-visible) and Technical Notes (internal), ensuring:\nClients receive sufficient context for inspection outcomes\n\nInternal teams have the technical detail required for quoting and compliance\n\nPhotographic & Evidence Uploads:\nUpload clear, relevant photographs and supporting information to Simpro to substantiate findings, defects, and completed works.\nRemedial Identification & Quoting Support:\nClearly identify remedial works arising from inspections or servicing and provide accurate information to support office-based quoting, including parts, labour, and access requirements.\nCompliance & Audit Readiness:\nEnsure all Simpro records meet internal quality standards and external audit requirements, supporting compliance with applicable regulations and British Standards.\nCustomer care:\nEnsure High Levels of Customer Satisfaction: Strive for excellence in customer satisfaction by consistently meeting or exceeding their expectations.\n\nProfessional Representation: Uphold the company's image by representing it in a professional manner at all times, fostering positive interactions with customers.\n\nOrder Management:\nClear and Concise Customer Reporting: Provide clear and concise reports to customers regarding project progress, ensuring transparency and understanding.\n\nTimely Document Forwarding: Facilitate efficient order management by ensuring all relevant documentation is accurately compiled and forwarded to stakeholders in a timely fashion.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE\nEssential\nClean driving license.\n\nExperience working with heights.\n\nAbility to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.\n\nExcellent communication skills.\n\nDesirable\nPrevious experience in a simlar role.\n\nEngineering knowledge\n\nTraining and Development\nFull training will be provided, including classroom-based and on-the-job learning.\n\nOpportunity to gain certifications in working at height safety standards.\n\nCareer progression opportunities into a fully qualified Field Engineer role.\n\nThe Field Engineer plays a vital role in the success of the engineering team by maintaining strong communication channels, managing customer expectations, and ensuring the efficient execution of projects.
