You will help keep our client-facing platforms secure and reliable while improving the processes supporting client reporting and document distribution.\nReporting to the Lead Software Specialist, you will join the Application Support team within the Platform Team. Working with engineering, Cyber Security, Operations, delivery teams and vendors, you will resolve production issues, strengthen integrations and deliver sustainable improvements.\nThis hands-on role combines Angular frontend engineering, production support and DevOps practices. You will own the portal’s technical lifecycle, support document flows across our Avaloq platforms and reduce technical debt through automation and testing.\nIf you enjoy solving production problems, improving digital experiences and making systems more resilient, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a 12-month fixed-term contract.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn the digital client portal’s operation, including availability, performance, monitoring, maintenance, incident response and continuous improvement.\nMaintain and improve Angular applications, including component design, frontend standards, performance, browser compatibility and upgrades to Angular, Node.js and third-party dependencies.\nDiagnose browser, application and container issues using logs, traces and metrics, addressing root causes and implementing lasting improvements.\nMaintain reliable document logging, replication, reconciliation and recovery across Avaloq Core Platform (ACP), Avaloq Front Solution (AFS) and Avaloq Front Platform (AFP).\nSupport portal APIs and integrations, partnering with engineering and platform teams to resolve interface and data issues.\nWork with Cyber Security to address vulnerabilities and security findings, support web application firewall policies, certificates and access controls, and troubleshoot authentication, authorisation, federation and entitlements.\nRelease changes safely through peer review, automated testing, version control and CI/CD, including regression testing, production verification and rollback readiness.\nProvide business-as-usual support to business users and Software Specialists, meeting agreed service levels and escalating incidents effectively.\nAutomate client statement generation, validation, distribution and exception management, with appropriate controls and auditability.\nPartner with Quality Assurance on test coverage and non-production environments; maintain documentation in Confluence and manage work through Jira Service Management and Ivanti.\nParticipate in rostered after-hours support for releases and priority incidents when required, in line with team arrangements.\nAbout You\nAt least five years’ experience supporting or developing customer-facing digital applications, web platforms or enterprise software, including business-critical production systems.\nStrong Angular experience covering frontend maintainability, dependency management, performance optimisation and automated unit, component and end-to-end testing.\nWorking knowledge of REST APIs, authentication protocols and integration patterns, with the ability to investigate application, interface and data issues.\nExperience with document generation, logging, replication, reconciliation or distribution. Familiarity with Avaloq ACP, AFS and AFP is highly desirable.\nPractical Kubernetes or OpenShift knowledge to diagnose deployment, configuration and runtime issues, alongside SQL skills for investigating and reconciling data.\nExperience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, deployment tooling and infrastructure as code. Exposure to GitLab, GitLab runners, Argo CD or Ansible would be advantageous.\nStrong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills using tools such as Splunk, Prometheus or Grafana, with a calm, methodical approach to production incidents.\nSound application security knowledge, including vulnerable dependencies, frontend security findings and identity and access management.\nExperience in Agile and DevOps environments, with disciplined incident, problem, change and release management practices.\nClear communication and effective collaboration with business users, engineers, security teams and vendors. Banking, wealth management or regulated financial-services experience, particularly in client reporting and document controls, will be highly regarded.\nQualifications\nRelevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
