Join us and help shape the future of Lhoist North America.\nPOSITION SUMMARY: The employee is responsible for helping in the drilling and blasting, hauling and loading of shot rock to the primary crusher, knowledge and ability to operate crusher and to perform some maintenance of crushing system. Employee will also be asked to help and assist at the Rail Facility as needed to load rail cars, unload rail cars and transport lime from Plant to Rail if needed.\nRESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:\nHeavy Equipment Operation\nSafe operation of mobile equipment\n\nAbide by all company policies and procedures\n\nAbide by all State and Federal laws\n\nPreventive Maintenance on Equipment\nPerform pre-shift inspection on equipment prior to operation\n\nFuel equipment as needed and properly log all fuel required\n\nReport or fix all items found during pre-shift inspection\n\nPerform preventive maintenance on truck when needed, with preventive maintenance being:\n\nChange oil and check fluids\nLubricate\n\nChange filters\n\nTire maintenance\n\nQuarry Operations\nSafe operation of the crushing/screening/conveying system\n\nPerform routine maintenance both preventive and corrective on quarry equipment\n\nMaintain housekeeping to support crushing system such as:\nPainting and shoveling of catwalks/handrails\n\nReplacing idlers\n\nTracking belts\n\nSplicing belts\n\nChanging out Screen\n\nQuality Control\nFollow directions and dump mined ore in designated location as directed\n\nGathering of drill shaving samples, rail car samples, and other belt samples from the crushing system.\n\nSafety\nAttend scheduled safety meetings\n\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment\n\nComplete Pre-shift inspections on any assigned Heavy Equipment and submit to Plant Operator\n\nPromote safety among co-workers\n\nFollow all safety policies and procedures\n\nATTRIBUTES:\nFulfill all requirements and possess ability to pass back ground check for ATF Explosives license.\n\nSelf-motivated and must be able to work independently\n\nDetailed knowledge and understanding of over the road heavy equipment operation and safety requirements\n\nMust be capable of working shift work, overtime, seven days, or holidays, if needed including nights.\n\nAbility to occasionally lift/carry 45 pounds.\n\nDemonstrated skills heavy equipment operation a plus, but minimum as demonstrated for an over the road haul truck\n\nHistory of safe operation of vehicle as demonstrated on driving record\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:\nMust be capable of working shift work, overtime, seven days, or holidays, if needed including nights.\n\nAbility to occasionally lift/carry 45 pounds.\n\nDemonstrated skills heavy equipment operation a plus, but minimum as demonstrated for an over the road haul truck\n\nHistory of safe operation of vehicle as demonstrated on driving record\n\nWorking at heights and along high wall\n\nREQUIRED EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED equivalent\nPREFFERED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree, CDL\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year experience industrial experience\nPREFFERED EXPERIENCE: 3 years heavy equipment\nLhoist North America is proud to offer a highly competitive compensation package designed to support your well-being and future.\nOur benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with paid vacation and sick time.
