This role is critical to achieving Plant OEE and Equipment Availability goals by elimination of unplanned stops and extended downtimes. Employees in the position are required to participate in company-sponsored training and certification programs to ensure that their job knowledge and skills meet the evolving company standards.\nRESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:\nMust comply with company, state and governmental health and safety regulations as well as SQF initiatives.\nMust complete and document Workplace Inspections in a timely manner.\nMust be able to perform preventive maintenance checks and report findings (both verbally and in writing).\nMust participate in the work order initiation process when required.\nMust ensure all inventory parts are correctly charged from Stores as per LNA procedures.\nMust be well versed in the installation and maintenance of all types of bearings.\nMust possess a basic knowledge of:\noil and grease seals and their applications.\n\nlubricants and their uses\n\nMust be able to perform:\nchain and sprocket installation and alignments.\n\nbelt and sheave installation and alignment.\n\npost-job inspection to ensure a high level of housekeeping standards.\n\nminor maintenance on loaders, haul trucks, drills, forklifts, maintenance, and plant vehicles.\n\nMust be able to install and align all types of new equipment.\nMust be able to disassemble and rebuild most types of crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.\nOperate forklift, man lift, or maintenance machinery to perform plant and quarry maintenance.\nMust have a high level of rigging skills.\nMust have experience and expertise in the installation of pneumatic and hydraulic piping systems including the use of proper fittings and connectors.\nMust be able to troubleshoot, service and repair:\nall plant environmental equipment and demonstrate knowledge of baghouse operation.\n\nhydraulic/pneumatics systems.\n\nall types of repairs to air compressors presently in service.\n\nEnsures maintenance tools are kept in good condition, repaired or replaced when necessary.\nMust possess and maintain a complete set of personal hand tools as per the LNA list.\nMust be able to operate plant mobile equipment.\nMust be proficient in the use of precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, etc.)\nMust be qualified to weld in all four positions (certification)\nMust be proficient in all kinds of acetylene cutting and welding.\nShould be able to perform thickness testing.\nUnderstanding of thermography and how it is used at the site.\nShould have a complete understanding of non-destructive testing.\nShould possess basic knowledge of the CMMS System and be willing to correctly complete work orders and checklists including signing and dating.\nPerform maintenance on crushers, conveyor belts, vibrating feeders, screens, elevators, refractory repairs, kilns, fans, dust collectors, coal mills, screws, pumps, pulverizers, and other plant and quarry equipment.\nSemi-annually the employee will be required to display safe practices and procedures under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.\nThe company will allocate time for the individual to further their advancement. \nPerform other duties as assigned.\nSafe Quality Food (SQF)\nEnsure a SQF workplace and follow regulatory compliance with Federal FDA - Food Modernization Safety Act (CFR Code of Federal Regulations Title 21, Part 507).\nSupport Environmental Health and Safety, as well as SQF initiatives and awareness programs.\nBe a leader and promoter of employee safety and SQF culture.\nFollowing completion of SQF training, demonstrate understanding of expected safety, SQF performance and Food Safety Culture.\nComplete periodic SQF training(s).\nEach site location will ensure training is conducted for new employees and continued for existing employees.\nEmployees will actively participate in audits for regulatory, safety, SQF and environmental compliance at the site.\nATTRIBUTES:\nMust be able to work any shift, overtime, be on-call, or work seven days a week including holidays and be flexible to schedule changes.\nIndustrial background with good troubleshooting skills.\nMust be able perform basic mathematical computations.\nAbility to detect potential problems through observation in the field.\nMust be able to work 12-hour shifts for an extended day period during plant outages.\nMust have a telephone and be open to call outs.\nProven self-direction and leadership abilities.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and meeting all required deadlines.\nMust be a team player who works well with others.\nMust be open minded, willing to learn, and receptive to change.\nStrong record of attendance reliability.\nMust be able to effectively communicate and interact with supervisors and peers.\nMust know, understand and observe all department and plant safety rules and maintain a high level of housekeeping in assigned work areas.\nMust possess basic computer skills on how to use MS Office products and SAP.\nAbility to read, write, and interpret documents such as work orders, blueprints, mechanical drawings, safety rules, standard operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.\nKnowledgeable of current environmental regulations and practices as they relate to the lime industry.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:\nMust be physically able to perform work assigned.\nMust be physically capable of accessing all plant locations.\nAccess all areas within a site which could include heights of 150 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels.\nWill be working at times in covered environment but mainly in a lime/mineral environment.\nThe employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Lime/Mineral Particles.\nThe employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting.\nAbility to lift/carry up to 65 pounds.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.\nPREFERRED EDUCATION: Completion of an apprenticeship program, technical program, or equivalent experience in industrial background.\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 2+ years mechanical experience including welding, equipment alignments, equipment troubleshooting, reading of blueprints and mechanical drawings.\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Previous heavy manufacturing maintenance and/or mining maintenance experience is highly preferred.\nLhoist North America is proud to offer a highly competitive compensation package designed to support your well-being and future.\nOur benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with paid vacation and sick time.
