Join us and help shape the future of Lhoist North America.\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThis role is to perform duties to ensure a neat, clean, and orderly plant condition is always present. A production utility is the third line of defense to maintain all procedures are being followed throughout the plant level.\nRESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:\n Plant UtilityUpkeep of company grounds, property, buildings, and load out areas.\n\nClean bins, conveyers, spills, material from under conveyers and catwalks, and other cleaning duties as needed.\nUse Mobile Equipment for cleanup purposes (skid steer, dingo, water truck, etc.)\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.Plant OperationsFamiliar with equipment capacity and load capabilities of dryer related material handling equipment on stone, dust, milling, and material handling systems. \nPerform miscellaneous duties such as removal of blockages, choked screws, elevators and conveyors.\nCheck in/out and load customer trucks for outbound delivery.\nPerform light maintenance functions on process equipment as needed.\nPerform all pre-shift inspections, run testing on all plant samples and truck samples.\n\nInventory ManagementSilo inventory measurements.\nEnsure that different product types are distributed into the appropriate bins.\n\nMaintenancePerform pre-start maintenance on dryer, plant processes and mills.\n\nEnvironmental, Health and SafetyPerform all work assigned in a neat and orderly manner adhering to company and governmental safety rules and regulations including company lock out tag out procedures.\nAbility to operate heavy equipment including haul truck, skid steer loader, utility wheel loader, man lift, and forklift in a safe manner.\n\n (SQF) Safe Quality FeedAll personnel will be responsible for the facilities’ Safe Food initiative based on FSMA and Current Good Manufacturing Practices.\n\nATTRIBUTES:\n Industrial background with good troubleshooting skills.\nPrevious experience operating heavy equipment is desired.\nKnowledgeable of current environmental regulations and practices as they relate to the minerals industry.\nMust be able perform basic mathematical computations.\nSelf-Motivated and must be able to work independently.\nGood decision-making skills regarding safety.\nAbility to read, write, and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, standard operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:\nTolerate working outside in severe weather conditions as well as exposure to industrial high temperature, limestone, noise and dust.\nAccess all areas within a site which could include heights of 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels. \nAble to lift 50 pounds. \nWork shift work, seven days a week including holidays and be flexible to schedule changes.\nAccess to a telephone and be open to overtime and callouts.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION:\n High School Diploma, GED Equivalent\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:\n Completion of an apprenticeship program, technical program, or equivalent experience in industrial background\nPREFFERED EXPERIENCE:\n Six Months production experience in an industrial background preferred\nLhoist North America is proud to offer a highly competitive compensation package designed to support your well-being and future.\nOur benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with paid vacation and sick time.
