Description
The Vendor Operations Specialist supports vendor operations within an assigned business and/or function, working under general direction from manager on more complex tasks. They will provide day-to-day support to vendors and business partners by consulting on vendor related questions and issues of medium complexity. The Specialist identifies vendor performance trends through research and data analysis and provides recommendations for process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Answers vendor related questions on systems, processes, technology, and procedures and researches and resolves issues of medium complexity.
- Performs research and data analysis to report on key vendor metrics and presents findings to the vendor and/or team leadership.
- Responsible for assigned contractor`s delivery of work including Quality, Timeliness, and other Service Level Agreements, Inventory Management and other operational metrics.
- Works with the vendor to address and resolve critical issues that may impact the working relationship.
- Facilitates training's for vendors on new or updated process.
- May work on or lead initiatives relating to relationship management.
- Facilitates projects of medium complexity and provides guidance to project team members.
- Serves a mentor and monitors the work of team members.
Qualifications
- Competencies typically acquired through a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/training and 2+ years' of relevant experience.
- Solid understanding of business operations.
- Strong project management skills; decision-making, analytical and problem solving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with internal partners and external vendors.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Experience in Claims Services, Support tasks.
- Experience in HQueue workflow creation, input of new tasks and reporting.
