You'll assess business operations, financial information, and industry trends to determine whether risks are appropriate for Liberty Mutual and help establish pricing and coverage solutions that meet customer needs.\nLiberty Mutual's Global Risk Solutions (GRS) business provides commercial and specialty insurance, surety, and reinsurance solutions for midsize, large, and global businesses. Across a broad range of industries, GRS helps organizations navigate complex and evolving risks while protecting their people, property, operations, and future growth.\nWhat You'll Do\nAnalyze business information, financial data, and industry trends to evaluate risk.\nLearn how insurance products and risk management solutions support businesses across a variety of industries.\nPartner with brokers, customers, and internal teams to understand client needs and develop tailored insurance solutions.\nBuild strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.\nDevelop expertise in risk selection, coverage analysis, and pricing strategies.\nMake informed business decisions that balance customer needs with profitable growth objectives.\nTraining & Development\nAs an Associate Underwriter, you'll participate in the Underwriting Development Program starting in June 2027, a blended learning experience designed to build the technical, analytical, and business skills needed for a successful underwriting career.\nDuring your first six months, you'll participate in a structured onboarding and development experience that combines formal coursework with hands-on underwriting responsibilities. You'll receive support from experienced underwriting professionals and a dedicated learning liaison within the business as you apply classroom concepts to real-world underwriting situations. Through the program, you'll:\nBuild a foundation in underwriting principles, risk assessment, coverage analysis, and pricing.\nGain hands-on experience evaluating risks and developing insurance solutions for commercial customers.\nLearn alongside a cohort of peers while building your professional network.\nReceive ongoing coaching, mentorship, and field support from underwriting professionals.\nDevelop the knowledge and skills needed to grow your career within underwriting.\nThis position may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location.\nWe encourage interested candidates to apply promptly, as the role may be unposted once we’ve received a sufficient number of candidates.
