Reporting to the EU SCC Manager at our Awahuri site, you'll be part of the Semen Processing Lab team, supporting the production and export of world-class genetics that help drive the success of New Zealand dairy farmers.\nThis hands-on laboratory role is responsible for processing bull semen to meet production targets while helping maintain the high standards of quality, compliance and export requirements expected of LIC's international markets. You'll work closely with a supportive team in an environment where accuracy, collaboration and continuous improvement are highly valued.\nYour Key Focus: \nPerform quality control activities to ensure products meet required standards and compliance requirements.\n\nOperate laboratory and analytical equipment in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safe operating practices.\n\nCarry out routine maintenance, calibration and servicing of laboratory equipment.\n\nContribute to the review, development and implementation of new and existing SOPs.\n\nSupport compliance with OAP Operational Codes, EU and GBR OMAR requirements, and WOAH regulations.\n\nCoordinate the dispatch of semen to EU markets and LIC's Newstead facility.\n\nSupport procurement activities and help maintain adequate laboratory stock levels.\n\nWhat you will bring....\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nA collaborative team player who enjoys working with others to achieve shared goals.\n\nAbility to build positive working relationships with internal teams, contractors and key stakeholders.\n\nAn understanding of laboratory operations and quality standards.\n\nCompetent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
