The role provides strategic and operational leadership of all facility-related activities, ensuring buildings, workshops, warehouses, yards and supporting infrastructure are maintained to a high standard, comply with legislative requirements and support business operations. The Facilities Manager will proactively manage maintenance programs, contractors, improvement projects and facility compliance while also undertaking hands-on repairs where appropriate.\nResponsibilities:\nManage the day-to-day operation, maintenance, safety and presentation of the Erskine Park facility.\nDevelop and manage preventative maintenance programs and coordinate reactive repairs.\nRegularly inspect workshops, warehouses, buildings, yards and surrounding areas to identify maintenance requirements.\nManage the annual facilities budget, expenditure, forecasting and future maintenance requirements.\nPrepare business cases for capital works, asset replacements and facility improvements.\nSource and manage contractors and suppliers, including quotations, inductions, permits, compliance and quality of work.\nReview contractor recommendations and scopes of work to ensure solutions are technically appropriate and deliver value for money.\nProvide practical technical advice and identify fit-for-purpose maintenance and repair solutions.\nIdentify opportunities to improve facility reliability, efficiency, asset life and operating costs.\nLead, support and develop the Reception team and Yard & Facilities Assistant.\nPartner with operational teams, HSE representatives, suppliers, contractors, councils and other key stakeholders.\nSupport Liebherr facilities in Yatala, Dandenong, Auckland, Para Hills and Rockingham with contractor and supplier management practices.\nMaintain compliance with relevant QA, HSE, organisational and legislative requirements.\nUndertake hands-on maintenance and repairs where appropriate.\nAbout You:\nYou're a practical and solutions-focused Facilities Manager who can comfortably move between leading people, managing contractors and budgets, providing technical advice and getting hands-on when required.\nYou'll ideally bring:\nDemonstrated facilities management experience, ideally within an industrial, workshop, warehouse or similar operational environment.\nStrong preventative and reactive maintenance experience.\nExperience managing contractors, suppliers, quotations and scopes of work.\nExperience managing facilities expenditure and maintenance budgets.\nStrong understanding of workplace safety, contractor compliance and safe work practices.\nThe ability to inspect completed works and ensure they meet required standards.\nPractical experience using hand and powered tools and maintenance equipment.\nStrong stakeholder, communication and customer service skills.\nBasic computer and report-writing capability.\nA current driver's licence.\nHigh Risk/EWP, Working at Heights and Forklift licences/certificates.\nOur Offer:\nAt Liebherr, we value your well-being.
