Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.\nResponsibilities\nEssential Job Duties:\nConducts quick and efficient assessments of potential suppliers Quality Systems.\nWorks with LME Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure that supplier capabilities match requirements.\nLead processes to establish tools, evaluate, manage and develop a diverse supply base in support of the LME’s objectives, support specific goals regarding product quality; innovation; supplier cost reduction, responsiveness and delivery.\nWork with suppliers and LME functional groups to develop supplier quality capability.\nDevelops the process ensuring that product development programs include suppliers.\nDevelops plans for process control, capability and sustainability with the supplier.\nPromotes supplier-led initiatives aimed at developing new innovative products.\nPromote a culture of continuous improvement and cost reduction with existing and new suppliers and investigate trend problems and develop proactive corrective action programs.\nManage supplier’s process improvements when quality issues result from existing process deficiencies and evaluate supplier’s capability with respect to product improvement. Assists in identifying, communicating and resolving supplier quality problems.\nSupervisory Duties:\nManages Direct Reports 4 to 8.\nResponsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of Supplier Quality team.\nCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.\nResponsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nCompetencies\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and 6 to 8 eight years of relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate should have 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.\nAdditional Requirements:\nTravel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a valid driver license and passport.\nThis position is working from home eligible.\nOur Offer\nPay Range: $129,000 - $142,000\nAn interesting and ambitious role in a successful international company.
