This position plays an important role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nHousekeeping\nClean resident apartments, including:Vacuuming\nCleaning kitchens and bathrooms\nDusting furniture and surfaces\n\nClean hallways and other common areas according to established schedules.\nComplete housekeeping assignments in the priority established by the supervisor.\nLaundry\nWash, dry, fold, and organize resident laundry.\nDeliver clean laundry to designated resident closets.\nEnsure laundry is handled accurately and respectfully.\nGeneral Responsibilities\nMaintain housekeeping and laundry equipment and supplies in proper working condition.\nAttend required in-service training and educational programs.\nMaintain resident confidentiality at all times.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nAbility to understand, follow, and communicate instructions in English.\nPrevious housekeeping or laundry experience is preferred but not required.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.\nPhysical Requirements\nPerform moderate to heavy physical work throughout the majority of the shift.\nStand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.\nFrequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and stretch.\nLift and carry up to 50 pounds independently.\nPush and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.\nOperate vacuums and other housekeeping equipment.\nWork in confined spaces around furniture and personal belongings.\nMaintain frequent interaction with residents.\nMay be exposed to cleaning chemicals, unpleasant odors, heat, and communicable diseases.\nWhy Join Freedom Village Holland?\nAt Freedom Village Holland, we believe our employees are our greatest asset.
