your impact truly matters\nHere are a few of the daily responsibilities of a MDS Coordinator:\nCoordinates, conducts, and completes the MDS, resident care plans and conferences on the computerized system.\nAssures accuracy and completeness of entire medical record.\nAssures and monitors that MDSs are completed within HCFA and Medicare guidelines.\nEnsures MDS electronic submission occurs per State regulations.\nParticipates in family/resident care plan conferences.\nAssures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to medical record documentation.\nServes as a staff nurse when staffing levels are necessitated in order to meet the needs of the residents.\nResponds to emergency calls as necessary.\nAssures timeliness of physician’s visits.\nNotifies physician and family of changes in resident’s condition.\nEncourages rehabilitative techniques in order to restore resident’s independence.\nAssists DON in developing and implementing medical records policies and procedures.\nAttends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.\nPerforms specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor. \nHere are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:\nMust a hold a valid RN license issued by State of California. \nMinimum on (3) years experience in Nursing experience in Skilled Nursing preferred. \nCurrent CPR certification. \nIn-depth experience and knowledge working with MDS computer software. \n Experience with the MDS transmittal process and understanding of regulations impacting the MDS. \nSupervisory
