With integrity, a solid work ethic and empathy for older adults, you can create a long, satisfying, and fruitful senior living career at Freedom Village of Bradenton.\nABOUT THE ROLE:\nThe Full-Time CDL- Shuttle Driver is responsible for the timely and safe transporting of residents to various individual and group activities/functions and medical appointments.\nYOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE YOU WILL…\nPicks up and delivers residents to all scheduled activities and appointments where transportation is needed. \nComplete a safety check of the applicable vehicle, (i.e., car or bus) before transporting residents to and from scheduled activities and appointments. \nAccurately records vehicle mileage and resident attendance for all scheduled transportation. \nMaintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, inside and out. \nTransport vehicle(s) to service locations for routine preventive maintenance on vehicle(s) as scheduled by supervisor. \nNotify supervisor of necessary repairs and vehicle malfunctions. \nImmediately notifies supervisor of resident concerns, problems, or incidents. \nMake miscellaneous runs for administration errands as necessary. \nMaintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition. \nAccomplish all work in the order of priority set by supervisor. \nAttend in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. Must be CPR, AED and First Aid certified. \nPerform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. \nQualifications:\nHigh school education required. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. \nMust be able to maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with the residents always. \nMust be able to interpret and follow map directions. \nDriver's License (Required) \nPassenger Endorsement (Required) \nCDL A (Required) \nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:\nMust be also to sit in a vehicle for up to six (6) hours per day; must be able to stoop, bend, stretch and squat to load and unload cargo areas. Must have the ability to perform routine preventive maintenance on vehicles according to schedule. Keep vehicles clean. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for handling luggage and resident groceries. May be exposed to the elements (rain, cold, heat) for short periods of time.
