If you're seeking a rewarding and fulfilling path, then look no further - Life Flight Network is the place where your aspirations will take flight!\nThe Hangar Mechanic provides onsite maintenance support for Life Flight Network (LFN) aircraft including management of inventory, planning and scheduling aircraft maintenance, maintenance of the base library and LFN owned ground support equipment. This position is also responsible for aviation maintenance including assisting in planning, evaluating, developing, implementing and maintaining services for LFN in compliance with LFN’s FAA Part 135 air carrier certificate.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nCompletion of two years of an Aviation Science trade or vocational school, or equivalent combination of education and experience \nThree years as Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic \nAirframe and Powerplant Certification \nInspection Authorization Certification preferred\nResponsible for having thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations\nThree years of FAR 135 turbine rotorcraft maintenance experience preferred\nThree years’ experience working for an EMS helicopter program preferred ,\nMaintenance experience on Bell 407 preferred\nMaintenance experience on Bell 429 desirable\nMaintenance experience on PC12 desirable \nMaintenance experience on EC135 desirable\nSheet metal/composites experience preferred\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite\nAnalytical abilities sufficient to handle complex technical and administrative issues\nAbility to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers \nStrong work ethic with team-oriented approach \nMust pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug test \nAbility to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nSuperior customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization \nAble to take initiative to create, implement and improve procedures \nTravel by personal or company vehicle throughout LFN’s service area is required. Some travel will require overnight stays. Must possess a valid Driver’s license and automobile in good repair. Must provide proof of auto insurance and meet Driver’s Policy requirements\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nInspect and repair aircraft parts, components, and systems \nPerform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, aircraft systems and parts for base operations \nPerform inspections of completed work, aircraft systems, and parts based on aircraft schedule\nUpdate and maintain maintenance manuals, service bulletins, parts books and regulatory updates, and other technical directives \nCoordinate ordering, shipping, receiving of parts, supplies, tools, and warranty claims parts \nClean and maintain interior and exterior of aircraft \nCoordinate aircraft maintenance schedules with assistance from the Lead Aircraft Mechanic\nMaintain upkeep of work area, materials and tools \nPrepare and maintain documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations and company policy \nEnsure all maintenance is accomplished and documented correctly\nAnalyze and troubleshoot technical/inspection issues, providing guidance and resolution of problems \nApply mathematical and analytical skills to duties \nAwareness and support of LFN goals through participation in continuous quality management \nMay be required to travel to LFN operated bases to assist with maintenance as needed.\nAdditional duties as assigned, include maintaining the hangar and shop area and ensuring it is clean and orderly, assisting in aircraft reconfigurations, keeping the exterior of the aircraft clean and assisting the Maintenance Shop Manager as needed. \nSAFETY:\nEnsure adherence to LFN safety and risk management culture as outlined in Safety and Risk Management Agreement, SMS, and related policies \nPreserve safety and risk management culture and rules \nReport all concerns related to safety and risk management immediately, working with Director of Safety and Risk Management, Director of Quality Management and others as needed\nBe knowledgeable regarding all safety and risk management policies and procedures; be an agent for communicating safety and risk management information\nBenefits That Go Above and Beyond\nAt Life Flight Network, we believe our team members deserve more than just a job - they deserve a rewarding, supported, and balanced life.
