By applying their knowledge in a dynamic club environment, interns enhance the member experience while upholding the excellence of the Life Time brand.\nJob Duties/Responsibilities\nReads, watches, engages in all required training's associated with the role and adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards.\n\nProvides fitness floor assistance to all members to ensure safety, provide education, and motivate members\n\nFulfills member service requirements such as fitness assessments and equipment operations, service desk duties and fitness equipment cleaning\n\nPromotes personal training programs and services\n\nEnsures all members feel competent, confident, and connected by providing superior customer service through complimentary and based services/programming\n\nDocument your experience each week:interesting observations, lessons learned, questions for discussion, comments on workouts observed, useful client communication / training techniques, etc.\n\nAssist with personal training sessions when appropriate.\n\nDemonstrate behaviors consistent with Life Time's Mission & Vision, culture and values in all interactions with clients, coworkers and the general public.\n\nWeekly connects with supervisor to review progress on weekly objectives and set up actions for the upcoming week\n\nMember experience & engagement activities: Boothing, fitness floor engagement, front desk support, member reach outs, etc.\n\nMinimum Required Qualifications \nHigh School Diploma or GED\n\nMust have a working knowledge of health and fitness and the human body, and be able to quickly grasp and apply new concepts.\n\nMust be punctual while having a positive, enthusiastic, energetic personality that enjoys working with people\n\nMust have a desire to work towards an accredited Personal Training Certification and/or Degree in a related field\n\nMust have a desire to work as a Life Time Personal Trainer in the near future\n\nMust be open to working in other departments at Life Time to support customer experience and engagement\n\nMust have the ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of a class and be able to bend, stand, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nCPR and AED certified\n\nExperience working in and/or shadowing at a fitness facility\n\nExperience with program design\n\nExperience with coursework related to health and fitness\n\nExperience in customer service\n\nPay\nThis is an hourly position with wages starting at $15.50 and pays up to $18.50, based on experience and qualifications.Benefits\nAll team members receive the following benefits while working for Life Time:\nA fully subsidized membership\n\nDiscounts on Life Time products and services\n\n401(k) retirement savings plan with company discretionary match (21 years of age and older)\n\nTraining and professional development\n\nPaid sick leave where required by law\n\nFull-time Team Members are eligible for additional benefits, including:\nMedical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage\n\nShort term and long term disability insurance\n\nLife insurance\n\nPre-tax flexible spending and dependent care plans\n\nParental leave and adoption assistance\n\nPaid time off, including 5 to 20 vacation days per calendar year (based on tenure) and paid sick leave\n\nDeferred compensation plan, if the team member meets the required income threshold\n\nLife Time is a place for everyone.
